This 1835 saltbox has been lovingly restored, and updated with a kitchen, one and a half baths and a deck. Our onetime farmhouse has wide floorboards, wideboard wall wainscotting and a working fireplace in the winter parlour. The rooms are charmingly and comfortably decorated in fitting style.
The house overlooks the very wide Argyle River (actually a tidal inlet from the Atlantic); there are glorious sunset water views. The 4-acre property goes through reedy wetlands to the water. Cows graze on the adjacent saltmarshes. The situation is old-fashioned, private and quiet.
Downstairs: summer parlor, winter parlor/dining room, eat-in-kitchen, half bath/laundry room and walk in pantry.
Upstairs: Four bedrooms---one with a queen-sized bed, one with a double bed, one with twin beds, one with bunk beds, and full bath.
