It is a charming and restful spot: a place to recharge your batteries, read that book, and/or a great base from which to engage in the many outdoor activities the area offers. Children can ride bikes or roller skate on the half mile long driveway and can swim all day if they choose in the in ground pool.
Our visitors have been charmed by the farm and the guest book entries testify to their complete enjoyment, enthusiasm and appreciation of this unique place. It is a great choice in the Spring and fall as well as in Full summer.

This was the most amazing week for us. We were here for a wedding and could not have had a more BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO stay. Two Century Farm is not only everything already mentioned, it is a Museum, a Library, and an Art Gallery, and a historically significant place that has been dutifully preserved for us and others to come to learn, relax, and enjoy. Thanks so much for your hospitality and friendliness. HOUSTON, TXDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Upon hearing that we rented a Farm for our Maine vacation our family did a double take. It has been our wonderful experience to drive up the long paved driveway to a place of great beauty. The property and the Farmhouse have received superb stewardship by the Russells. George Washingtons Mount Vernon could not have received better care. An added bonus was the swimming pool and the many books found everywhere. The Kitchen was well utilized by us and was well equipped with all the pots, Pans, and utensils needed by out family chef Mario. IT HAS BEEN GREAT. Hartford, CTDid you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 1962
About the owner: I was born in South Africa and have lived in a number of countries but Two Century Farm has always been what I consider my home. There is a special quality to the land and the house that draws me back and drove my determination to share this property with others. I hope you will enjoy your stay. When here please ask to read the Guest Book. It is a testament to the enjoyment the Farm has given others and it pleases me to know that a place that means so much to me also charms others. When you are here I live in a nearby converted barn. That means I am available to help make your stay enjoyable but if you want privacy that is O.K. as well.
Why the Owner Chose Bristol:
To me the Pemaquid Peninsula is real Maine with conveniences and variety. We have had people from Philadelphia and New York tell us for example that our local organic food store and the Hannaford Grocery store are the equal of or even better than those at home. We are just enough of the beaten path that we aren't a one day Tourist stopover but the home of locals and a number of people who like me came back summer after summer and now have retired here. We have a great library, a wide choice of places to dine, active theater groups and a thriving art community.
But having said that...the Farm is the kind of place that I'd want to live on and be around no matter where it was located.I'm just lucky that it is in fact in such an interesting and engrossing community.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
You can be as active as you please or just unwind. Gather in the breezeway and share a meal with family and friends. Swim as much as you want. Curl up with that book you have always wanted to read. If you want to split up there are private nooks to be alone. One group can be in the study watching a film, another can be around the kitchen table playing a board game, and a third assembly can take place on the breezeway. It really suits different age groups and diverse interests. or assemble in the Living room as a group.
