THE HOME HAS INCREDIBLE VIEWS with 150 degrees of SANTA BARBARA'S CITY and the PACIFIC OCEAN (on one side of the home) and 100 degree vista of the MOUNTAINS (on the other side).
A gorgeous flagstone patio - complete with 7 person Hot Tub, rock garden, rose garden, waterfall & pond has just been constructed. Enjoy the fantastic Pacific, city and island views and relax. Ahhhh!
On the main floor the living room (complete with original vintage furniture), dining room & kitchen flow together beautifully for easy living & entertaining and each rooms spills out on to a huge wrap around deck with breathtaking views of the city. The living room and dining room have been freshly painted & carpeted,
The (top floor) deck has several eating areas with ample heaters & is perfect for large family meals, cocktails, watching sunsets and enjoying the magnificent views. Music of your choice can be heard in living room & dining room and is piped onto the 75 foot long wrap around deck. Or, if you prefer no music - enjoy the steady hum of the waterfall.
Just off the kitchen deck is a gas BBQ and green house complete with a full array of herbs to enhance any meal. If you prefer to eat in the dining room, the huge round table (with Lazy Susan in the middle) is a beautiful setting to feast your eyes on the twinkle of the city lights, enjoy a dinner & nice bottle of wine. Light a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace.
The stainless steel kitchen is large and fully equipped with gourmet utensils, supplies and appliances & is true to the mid century period.
There are 2 oversized and newly decorated bedrooms on this level each with their own bath, full or queen size bed and seating area. The Master Bedroom, with chaise lounge for reading and relaxing, has doors opening out on to the wrap around deck. The second bedroom has unforgetable views of mountains and a couch that folds out for sleeping (perfect for a child).
The lower level offers a huge richly paneled family room with fireplace, pool table & poker table (equipped with professional poker chips). Light a fire and enjoy a movie on the 55 inch screen TV (with premium cable with DVR) or VCR and/ or DVD player. There is also an abundant selection of family games and puzzles for all ages.
The deck off the family room has a ping pong table (where many a tournament has been played). Guests can also enjoy croquet, bocce ball or bad mitten. You can even pick up a game of basketball on the lower yard level while looking at the boats sailing in the harbor. The house is wonderfully designed to accommodate several areas (and levels) of entertaining.
On this lower level are 2 additional newly decorated bedrooms that are also very large rooms with either queen or full sized beds & seating areas.
For an additional fee, there is also an office that can accommodate additional sleeping.
The entire house & deck are networked for wireless internet connection for work, surfing the web or computer games. Hard Wire Interet in bedrooms & office.

For us the house was ... I am short of superlatives... the Perfect Venue is how one of my family members referred to it, and I have to agree ... The house has so many attractive features. Some of them were enjoyed by all--such as sitting on the back deck and gazing at that incredible view of Santa Barbara and the ocean. (There is something about such a view that is contemplative and timeless, and that is the perfect mood for a family reunion, where you have memories that are timeless ... Other features of the house were appreciated more by individual members ... my sister really enjoyed all the plants on the property, she said it was an incredible collection and it showed that someone put a lot of love into the property over the years ... particularly loved the jade, had never seen such large jade plants). What I loved most about the house was the fact that I felt like I was outdoors all the time. It is so airy and so well integrated with the exterior space. In my previous visits to Santa Barbara, I was either distinctly inside or outside, but this time, I didn't have to choose. A light breeze coming through the living room ... best of both worlds. The temperatures were incredibly comfortable. It was absolutely spectacular. I can't thank you enough for making it available to us.
