Whether you are new to Bethany or have been vacationing there for 30 years like we have, you will not find anything this spectacular situated close to the beach, along with the spaciousness and exceptional design of a home and community. Even if you are a long-timer in Bethany, you do not want to miss finding out why the current rave is the bay - the best-kept secret of Bethany!
Located in the Bethany Bay community, this new, 1919 sq ft, 2-level, 4-bedroom (king-size master, 2 queens, and one twin bedroom), 4-bath, vacation home is strategically located on "The Pointe" which, as shown in the aerial view, is surrounded by the natural beauty and views of the bay and marshlands with incredibly easy driving access to the beach and recreation in all directions.
From the moment you step into this vacation home, you experience the awe of three panoramic views (including sunset) from both levels and all windows. Once you have taken in all the vistas, you can spread out and relax in this professionally designed and furnished beach home, which offers a mix of tranquil cottage and light tropical elements. The first level boasts a deck with grill and outdoor patio at its entrance. Directly inside the entrance hallway is a fully-equipped kitchen with views through to each end of the home and a large breakfast table and chairs, in case your party centers around the kitchen or you want to enjoy your breakfast there.
Down the hall is dining for eight to ten people during regular sit-down meals, and then the spacious living room with cathedral ceiling and screened patio, where you can choose your entertainment: video/media (TV/video with the DVD/VCR and cable TV), music (with CD/tape player), internet surfing, relaxing by the fireplace, reading, socializing, or nature and recreation watching.
Heading back into the queen-size bedrooms for some R&R after a fun day at the beach, you can enjoy two full bathrooms (one accessible from the hall for complete privacy). For easy cleaning, there is a laundry (washer/dryer) on the first level for extended stays. Up the full staircase, enjoy a spacious second level complete with all the views of first level. It offers a master bedroom and fourth bedroom, each with professionally-appointed full bathrooms.
The Bethany Bay Resort and Golf Community is ideally suited for a family vacation. Slightly off the beaten track it is magnificently quiet and picturesque. A short walk from your vacation home, you will find the tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, clubhouse and fitness center, two swimming pools (regular and kiddie pool) and outdoor hot tub, playground for kids, air hockey and video games, riding space for unlimited biking enjoyment around the bay and marshlands, and the nine-hole golf course. As mentioned before, it is a quick (10 min) drive from the community to Bethany Beach - just minutes away!
Located in an area known as "The Quiet Resorts" you can enjoy the best of both worlds - a getaway from it all retreat that is close to everything! You are only minutes away from Bethany Beach with its boardwalk, restaurants, and shops - something for everyone in the family. The Bethany town beach is public with lifeguards and bathrooms. Do not forget to book ahead for a dinner on Mango's deck with spectacular views overlooking the ocean!
For golfing aficionados, you can enjoy not only the course at Bethany Bay, but also other area golf courses, including 27-hole Bear Trap Dunes, 18-hole Baywood Greens, and the 18-hole Links at Lighthouse Sound.
For all water activities (boating, kayaks, wave runners, windsurfing, parasailing, etc.), you can access either the Indian River Bay just north of Bethany in Dewey Beach or via the bay to the south in Fenwick Island and Ocean City, Maryland (Shark Cove Watersports).
To truly relax, you can even enjoy the spas in the area, including the Atlantic Bodywork Center in Bethany and the Oceanova in Ocean View.
Even if someone in your group must check online, we offer free unlimited broadband internet access (3-6 MBPS) in the property, so they can still get away from it all and not lose touch. If you don't have a laptop, there are 2 internet cafes in Bethany (a block or 2 from the beach) at Bethany Bytes and the To Bean or Not To Bean coffee shop.
Further to the north (just past Dewey) in the Rehoboth Beach resort area about ten miles away, a vast array of entertainment awaits you. Our favorite on summer nights is the boardwalk zone with excellent dining of all kinds and price ranges (from down home Grotto's Pizza to excellent seafood and French cuisine), shopping, and family amusement attractions, including bumper cars, merry-go-round, video arcades, rides for kids and adults of all ages, game gallery with prizes galore, and more.
The Rehoboth Beach resort area offers tax-free outlet shopping for sunny or rainy days. There are great outdoor amusement parks such as White Water Mountain Park as well as indoor attractions such as the Midway Cinemas which features numerous theatres.
Just a short ride to the south is the beautiful area of Fenwick Island and immediately beyond that Ocean City, Maryland, which offers endless shopping and activities for the young at heart, including virtually every miniature golf theme park you can imagine, and an indoor sea theme miniature golf park for rainy days.
Do not forget to enjoy the historical attractions of the area, as folks have been enjoying Bethany and the broader area since the early 1900s and before. Check out historic Lewes or take the ferry ride (with car or on foot) to historic Cape May, which departs just a few miles north of Rehobeth in Lewes and offers an incredible collection of Victorian homes, fun shops, and beautiful beaches.
Whatever your interests and desires for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation, you are sure to find it here - not only in the summer but year round too! |
