The Clark Fork Valley is surrounded by National and State Forests that are readily accessible. The rugged and visually striking geologic formations surrounding the area are available for bouldering, exploring, and rock-hounding. A beautiful nine hole golf course is located minutes away. Glacier National Park known as the Gem of the Continent is a beautiful two hour drive from Thompson Falls. Winter activities include snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the immediate area with down-hill skiing also available in several surrounding resorts in Montana, Idaho and Washington.
