Del Mar Oaks is a multi-level, comfortable, unique family home with an ocean view situated just a 5 minute walk from the beach at Rio Del Mar.... just far enough to feel peacefully apart from the crowds, but an easy amble to the beach. This popular beach runs just south of Santa Cruz and boasts miles of sand, a variety of restaurants from the elegant Rio Cafe to several delis. There is also a shopping center a quick 2 minute drive away with Safeway, Rite Aid, a movie theater and lots of other shops and restaurants.
This beautifully furnished vacation home has vaulted wood-beam ceilings, hardwood and carpeted floors, lots of windows and skylights, and 6 separate decks. This house is nestled under huge oak trees in a Thomas Kinkade like fashion. The unique ocean view from the dining room deck is a wonderful spot to relax and listen to the ocean. The large gourmet kitchen has a large centered bar counter with bar stools and a separate family style dining table that takes advantage of the ocean view. The newly tiled counter tops surround all new appliances. All dishes, utensils, and gourmet counter top appliances are included.
The newly furnished master bedroom, on the main floor, boasts a "comfort foam" king bed, with luxury linens and comforters. The new 30" LCD flat screen TV, wooden vaulted ceiling, attached master bath, and large closet makes sleeping time a real pleasure. This master suite also has sliding glass doors that open onto a new beautiful deck that sits under the huge oak trees. Two more bedrooms are downstairs. One is another master bedroom with a Cal King size bed and a crib for those quests who have a baby. The other room contains twin beds plus a day bed that has another bed underneath that folds out, giving this room 4 beds. Between these two bedrooms is a large bathroom that contains a spa tub and laundry facilities. A sliding glass door leads to the back yard with its beautiful umbrella of oak trees. The top floor is a loft bedroom with two separate decks and sleeps three more guests on its queen bed and twin bed.
The main living room has a gas fireplace and a new 42" flat screen plasma TV with a high definition connection. The new luxurious leather sofa contains a queen size bed and two lazyboy type loungers. A separate large leather lounger is also part of this room's ensemble. Large floor to ceiling windows and skylights in the wooden vaulted ceiling gives you a unique view of the enveloping oak trees. This room also has it's own separate large patio deck with a large Weber BBQ and a large outside dining table.
A computer with Broadband Internet Connection is also included.
The front driveway and parking pad can accommodate several cars. There is no parking available on the street.
The backyard has a large playhouse for the kids to have fun in.

I've stayed in this house several times in the last few years. A beautiful morning sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee, looking at the ocean, is the best way to start your day here! It's a beautiful, short walk to the beach or a short drive to spend the day in Capitola. This house is beautifully kept and always clean. Never had a bad stay here. I highly recommend it!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My family and I loved this house. Beautiful interiors with cozy private rooms spread out on 3 levels. Beautiful ocean view from the dining room and front deck. We actually saw a humback whale breach out of the ocean while sitting at the dining room table ........ awesome!! Rio Del Mar Beach is a super place for walks and just relaxing. We had a blast.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
