Well-appointed, modern 2-bedroom cabin with full kitchen and living/dining located in the Gallatin Valley near Big Sky on a century-old, 260A homestead property with views of the Gallatin Range and the Porcupine Wilderness Management Area. There is a queen-size bed in one bedroom, two twin beds in the other bedroom, and one queen-size fold-out sofa in the livingroom.
The cabin property provides winter range for elk, moose and deer and a private 7 km trail for hiking and cross-country skiing. Private trout pond for catch and release fishing and open pit fire ring with seating.
20 minutes drive from the cabin to the alpine ski-area complex at Big Sky and Moonlight Basin. One hr by car to Yellowstone National Park. Other nearby amenities include Lone Mountain Ranch Nordic Resort with 80km of groomed ski trails and 20 km of snowshoe trails and sleigh/hay ride dinners; outstanding restaurants, shops and boutiques; Big Sky Meadow Village 18-hole golf course and trout fishing on the blue ribbon Gallatin River and nearby streams. Tennis is available at the Big Sky Tennis Club and on public courts at Ophir School.
To the Cabin:
A scenic 1 hr drive south from Bozeman or north from West Yellowstone on Highway 191 along the Gallatin River, the cabin is reached via Beaver Creek Road and a private, winter-maintained road, 3 mi. south of the Big Sky spur road off Highway 191.
