Our lovely guest house is midway between and just 45 minutes away from both Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina, and 20 minutes south of Hendersonville, and 30 minutes east of Brevard. On a ridge just below the headwaters in this Green River Valley, woodland trails out your back door meander through lush native plantings designed by nature, toward private benches and clearings for reading, meditation and relaxation. IF YOU COME HERE TO WANDER AND EXPLORE - we are no more than a scenic five mile drive from two entrances to Dupont State Forest, where you’ll enjoy some of the best hiking and biking trails and waterfalls ANYWHERE. At the bottom of this page, follow the link to a "Volunteers of Dupont" website that provides you a small glimpse of what you might see there. For unique shopping and restaurants, you can visit nearby Saluda and Flat Rock. Plus you can enjoy canoeing and tubing a little further down the Green River, only short car trips away. From July through September, our neighbors at Blueberry Hill Farm have a Pick-and-Pay Bio-Dynamic blueberry orchard just a ¼ mile walk away. IF YOU COME HERE TO RELAX AND UNWIND, this substantial five room cottage is spacious for two people or cozy for six, and features wooden ceilings and rugged post and beam construction, built of oak harvested from this property when our private road to the top of Blueberry Hill was cleared more than 20 years ago. The large master bedroom features a lovely queen bed and romantic atmosphere while additional sleeping accommodations are provided in a smaller bedroom with a deluxe double futon, along with a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. In addition to two full bathrooms, we provide linens, towels and soaps, and you’ll have a fully equipped kitchen, a private deck, an outdoor grill - and the unique sounds and smells of this forest haven. Mystery and blessings are all around us. We honor them and invite you to experience them with us.
