Our family, two adults and two children, spent a week at Casa Daniela while visiting our eldest daughter, a student in Rome. The apartment is not huge (a living room, bedroom, and two nice lofts) but is laid out in a way that we never felt crowded. We were able to seat our family and couple of guests in the living area without any problem (if we had spent more time in the apartment, I suspect we would have longed for a few additional comfortable places to sit). The beds were very comfortable and there was ample storage for all of our clothes. The bathrooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. The apartment is very conveniently located. Other renters have mentioned the neighborhood noise, but we found the unit very quiet with the windows closed and enjoyed the neighborhood ambience when the windows were open. The neighborhood has numeous good restaurants and bars and there is a small grocery close by. You can walk almost anywhere in Rome or utilize convenient public transportation. Daniela arranged for reasonable and dependable transportation from and to Fiumicino Airport and had someone to meet us to let us in on arrival. A couple of questions we had were answered promptly. We would not hesitate to stay with Daniela again and recommend Casa Daniuela very highly.

We stayed with another couple here in this flat. Very will centrally located, easy walking to every destination in Rome. We did not cook in the flat, but did use the refeigerator. The wifi was frustrating in that it would not work as if there was a governor on the flow rate. There were no English television show on the cable, but we did not go to Rome to watch TV. Even in the winter the place got noisy. The street partying below on Saturdays lasted until 4:30 AM. There was a need for the box of earplugs we found in the kitchen cabinet.

My wife, I and two teenage daughters recently stayed at Casa Daniela for one week. It was a very good location for daily outings around Rome. Daniela very kindly arranged car service (Adrianno) from the airport which was much appreciated and cheaper than car services I contacted directly. Daniela had an english speaking manager (Manuel) that was very helpful - if you needed something you just had to ask. The apartment was very safe and comfortable. Unlike previous reviews, I had no problem connecting to a local WiFi internet connection - not Daniela's but a free public hotspot. We loved the vibrancy of the neighborhood and nightly activities that went til 2am. If you're looking for a quiet out-of-the way place you might not find this location suitable.
Owner response:Dear David, I'm so glad receiving this message from you. It has been a honor to meet you and have you in my apartment. Thank you so much for appreciating...! :-) I really hope to see you again Best wishes, Daniela

Hello Daniela and happy new year! Thank you very much for our stay in your Rome apartment. We found our accommodations fabulous - very comfortable, well furnished, and centrally located. And we found Rome amazing - from the sites to the food to the people. I hope you had a wonderful holiday. All the best, Vera

Amicalement, Claude

Cara Daniela, I hope you recieved the little note I left you in your cozy apartment. My family and I truly had a special Christmas in Roma. Our location at 6 Via del Scalla was perfect. I appreciated how clean the apartment was, thank you. I have misplaced a very small item and was hoping you might have found it: the little baby Jesus to our Christmas nativity set. I was so sad when I opened my bag and it was not there. It is so tiny...but I would appreciate knowing if you might have found it. Wishing you a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! Warmly, Elisabeth

Hello, fellow travellers: We spent a week in Rome this August and were very pleased with our choice of accommodations at casadaniela in Trastevere. There we were in the heart of the quaint but lively medieval section of Rome, with lots of room for the three of us ... plus the TWO bathrooms and air conditioning. It was a lovely stay and we looked forward to coming home to the neighbourhood and the apartment every night. The second-floor walk-up accommodations were spotless, quiet, and yet charming. I have no hesitation in recommending this location for families and groups. Easy access to the night life of the Tiber and local restaurants. Bus lines took us everywhere we couldn't walk. It's close to the Vatican by bus. Thanks, Daniela. And thanks for arranging the car service to pick us up at Fiumicino. Moira

Dear Daniela, Our family of five stayed in your apartment last month, and it was absolutely ideal. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and well-equipped, and I can't say enough for the location. It's right in the heart of everything. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone, and sincerely hope to return ourselves.

Our family of 5 enjoyed staying in this well furnished 3BR/2BR 2nd floor apartment in the Trastevere. It is tastefully decorated and does not have the cheap look of other rental properties. It is a 2 level property with 2 upstairs bedrooms and 1 downstairs bedroom with a comfortable futon. The kitchen has all necessary utensils, and there was some salt, sugar and oil as well. There is no dishwasher, but we did not need it, as we ate mostly breakfast and only 1 dinner. There is a washer, but no dryer (there is a drying rack), so don't plan on doing large wash loads. The location is perfect, and it is only 6 blocks from the #8 Tram that will take you Largo Argentina. There is a supermarket nearby. The piazza Santa Maria de Trastevere is 3 blocks away. There are innumerable restaurants and cafes nearby, most of them good to very good. The neighbourhood gets quite lively and loud at night, but the acoustic insulation from the windows works very well. There are 2 modern A/C units that are very silent. Daniela was very helpful and attentive and was there to open the place. Payment via PayPal is a plus. A Wi-Fi connection would add additional value, so that one can check schedules and book appointments or trips. The Airport Connection from Fiumicino is the most cost effective way to get from FCO to the apartment, but reservations need to be made on line. The price was reasonable. I would definitely rent it again.

Our family of 5 enjoyed very much staying at this very well furnished 3BR/2bath apartment. It does not have the cheap feel so commonly found in other rentals. The location in the Trastevere could not have been better. It is 4-5 blocks from the #8 TRAM and close to innumerable restaurants and cafes. Even though the neighborhood is quite loud at night, the property is extremely well insulated. The owner is extremely attentive and initial payment with PayPal is a plus. There is a clothes washer, but no dryer, so don't plan on doing massive loads. There is a rack for drying clothes that will do the job. There is no dishwasher, which is probably unnecessary if you are having mostly breakfast. The kitchen has more than the necessary utensils and there were salt, sugar, and olive oil available. The A/C works well. A Wi-Fi internet connection would add further value, so you can check attractions, schedules, and most importantly, book your shuttle back to airport on Airport Connection (only over the internet on weekends). A supermarket is near by. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN. IT WAS VERY REASONABLY PRICED.

The apartment is just as described, large and clean and comfortable. It is in a great neighborhood, full of restaurants and life. It is in a pedestrian only area, and not overwhelmed by the traffic. Within walking distance or an easy bus ride are all attractions Even the train station is reachable by bus. It is also not too far from the airport by taxi. Be sure to get a Rough guide map. It shows the bus routes. Daneila is always available if you have any questions. Aaron Sharon, MA

Location, location, location! This apartment is located in a wonderfully charming area, with fantastic walking access to the best that Rome has to offer. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. I didn't know what to expect of the layout, based on the VRBO ad, but essentially it can be thought of as two small (joined) apartments. Each with a living area and bathroom downstairs, and a loft with bed(s) upstairs. One side has a kitchen, the other a pullout bed. One loft has a large bed and the other two small beds. At any rate, we loved the property, Daniela was very accommodating, and we'll stay at this property for all of our visits to Rome.

Christmas/New Year Holidays 2007/2008We’re a family of four, including two daughters ages seven and nine. This was our third trip to Rome and each time we have stayed in central Rome in the Trastevere. We take our yearly family vacation over Christmas/New Years and it’s important to us that things work out well. We were met upon arrival by the apartment’s owner, Daniela and found the apartment to be neat, clean and in good repair. Location was wonderful. The apartment is just several blocks away from the Pont Sisto, a pedestrian bridge over the Tiber, providing easy access to many of Rome’s famous sites. Being able to drop down and walk along the river rather then along Rome’s auto traffic was an added treat. The apartment is up one floor from the street level (more a lane than a street) and has nice windows through which to watch the comings and goings of the local residents. Trastevere is well known for its many family restaurants, including one several steps away from the apartment’s door, with a take-out pizzeria just across the street. In addition to its numerous restaurants, the immediate neighborhood has a small grocery, a wine shop, a produce stand, a farmer’s market and bars/cafes. Romans like to promenade in the evening and the apartment appeared to be on one of the preferred routes as each night the street was filled with strolling couples and other groups. All in all, we found the apartment was as advertised. Location, cleanliness and amenities were as expected and we recommend it without reservation. The Peters FamilyOakland, CaliforniaUSA

Hello Daniela Just to let you know that we certainly appreciated your help on the day that we left Rome. ALSO we had a marvelous time in your City. The apt had everything in it that one could desire to have a 'home away from home' feeling. We have already recommended to someone else who will be travelling to Italy next year to consider using your services. We would certainly come back there if we were ever in Rome again. Once again THANK YOU!! Best wishes Rob and Elaine Fraser Canada.

Dear Daniela: Thank you for allowing me to stay at your apartment during my Roman Holiday. It was very comfortable and a perfect location in Trastevere. I also very much enjoyed meeting you. We were not together for long but I felt we could be good friends. I look forward to seeing you on my next trip to Rome and I hope your apartment will be available at that time. Hello Daniela, we had a wonderful time in Roma and want to thank you again for the possibility to stay in the apartment until afternoon yesterday. Some friends asked us to give your mail-adress to contact you if they want to stay in Roma. We hope you agree in giving your mail to them. If you prefer a contact with Patrizia please let us know. A very small detail is missing in the kitchen: a bottle opener for the good Italian wine. We forgot our own but asked in the small restaurant in the street and got help. Best wishes Ingo Norget
