Relaxing, wonderful, vacation home in Leisure Lee, Massachusetts. This wonderful, quiet, clean house is perfect for an intimate family getaway, or a reunion of friends.
Summer: Take a swim in Goose Pond at our private sandy beach, which is marked off for swimming and has a swim out raft. Play tennis on the private tennis courts. Drive a couple of miles to shop at the Prime Outlets, hear concerts at Tanglewood, or hike the Appalachian Trail. House is equipped with all the amenities - you just need to show up with your toothbrush and be ready for a relaxing vacation in the Berkshires. There are also two vinyl swimming pools in the back yard which allow for "cooling off" during the hot summer days.
Winter: Snow ski, Winter ski at the slops in the areas. Toboggan, Skate, take long walks... in the heart of October Mountain. There are two toboggans in the garage for your use. The side of the house allows for great tobogganing.
Location is Lee, Massachusetts in the Berkshires. Two hours to Boston; two-and-one-half hours from New York City.
Accommodations include five bedrooms (one king-size bed, one queen bed, one queen-size futon, two with 2 twin beds in each. The sunroom (breakfast room) off the kitchen is used as a computer room/ food storage/ extra playroom. Kitchen table seats 12-14 comfortably. Outdoor porch- livingroom on upper level, family room on lower level. There is a 10 seater picnic bench in the back yard.
The house is fully stocked and ready for your comfort and enjoyment with indoor jet tub, TVs, cable, DVD, fully-equipped modern gourmet kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, ice maker, linens all provided, washer and dryer, double car attached garage, screened porch. The house is WiFi and has a printer.
Private access to lakefront beach (Goose Pond) with boating, swimming, etc. Private access to tennis courts- all within the commplex.
The area around Lee, Massachusetts and the Berkshires has a summer full of entertainment:
* Tanglewood (four miles) - outdoor theater including performances by the Boston Symphony Orchestra
* Jacob's Pillow (dance theater)
* Shakespeare Festival
* Old inns, gourmet dining, antique shops, art galleries
* Hiking/biking trails (two miles to the Appalachian trail; three miles to October Mountain State Park)

Furthermore, in the house she provided excellent resources for things to do in the area. We highly recommend the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield for kids (a little pricey but we thought well worth the money); and there are some great places to eat in Lee (we especially liked the Cakewalk Bakery and Cafe).

My partner and I flew in from the west coast to stay at this home with family in the vaccinity for a reunion and birthday party. Listing is accurate and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking to have a large gathering. Nine people slept there, and sixteen attended the party. We had a great time. We didn't go to any restaurants or attractions while there. We brought in food from grocery stores and cooked at the home. Note: it is not wheel chair friendly.

This pristine, beautifully maintained, fully stocked and spacious house accomodated 5 adults and 4 small children perfectly for our winter getaway! The highlight of everyone's week was by far sleddding down the hill on the side of the house on the toboggans! Loved the jacuzzi tub, the great selection of toys and games for children and adults alike, and the family-friendly floor plan! Thank you Jewel! We are seriously considering making this our yearly winter getaway!

This is an excellent house even with young kids. The owner was very accomodating. Close to both the towns of Lee and Lenox. Supermarket in Lee. Very close to the outlets. The house was perfect for 2 families with kids. Close to the tennis courts and the lake was beautiful, esp to view the fall foliage.

This well-equipped, clean and well-maintained house accommodated 6 adults and 2 small children easily and comfortably. The lake is beautiful. The location, near both Jacob's Pillow and Lenox/Tanglewood is ideal. Owners are a delight to deal with. We had a wonderful time.

A Perfect Spot for our Sorority Reunion

This house was exactly what we needed for our reunion. Eight sorority sisters gathered here for a long weekend in May. There was plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another. The "common areas" - the kitchen, the livingroom and the porch - were wonderful places to gather together. But the bedrooms were in separate areas so the early risers didn't disturb the later ones! The house is truly FULLY equiped. There wasn't anything that we lacked. The location is great - central to all that there is to do in Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge and surrounding areas.

The house is wonderful for family reunions. There is a lot of space, and the layout of the house is perfect for families to get together. The side of the house delivered for sledding. We really enjoyed sledding down the hill. Beautiful location, close to everything.
