Quiet three bedroom, two bath, non-smoking/non-pet condo with balcony overlooking Ten Mile Creek and Mount Royal. Our second floor end unit is very quiet, and there is virtually no foot traffic other than people coming specifically to our unit. Our condo was fully remodeled and updated in November 2007, and it is tastefully appointed with pine furnishings, hand made quilts, and cozy mountain decor.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with a new mattress (Jan 2013) and a private bath with a shower. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed, with access to the main bath, which has a tub and shower. The third bedroom has a queen sized bed with a pillowtop mattress, and with a vanity and mirror tucked into an alcove. The living room couch does not pull out. The kitchen is very well equipped, including beautiful dinnerware and table linens, most common small appliances, assortment of cookware, baking, and beautiful serving dishes, many pantry items, and paper goods.
A pine wall in the entrance adjoins a Virginia Ledgestone wall surrounding the wood-burning fireplace. A pine cabinet houses a 32' Television and a Stereo/DVD/CD Surround System. The master bedroom has a large picture window overlooking Ten Mile Creek and Mount Royal, and the master bath has a terra cotta slate tile shower, with a river rock accented floor and border. The kitchen and bathroom vanity cabinets are rustic alder with granite tops. The kitchen cabinets have low-voltage lighting for ambiance and efficient task lighting. Kitchen appliances are state-of-the-art clean-steel. Light fixtures and lamps throughout enhance the mountain decor. Custom made pine furniture and headboards throughout blend with other natural woods.
Our condo has wireless Internet. Note that our condo does NOT have a telephone. We have some board games, and often times shared books and magazines for your reading pleasure. There are quilts everywhere -on the beds, a quilt rack, pillow covers, coasters, and wall hangings throughout the condo! A Minnesota Sampler hangs on the wall in the dining area; Double X, Modified Double Nine-Patch, and Strip Bow quilts are on the beds; and a Rail Fence, another Modified Double Nine Patch, and a Strip Bow are on the quilt rack for snuggling up in to read or watch TV! We furnished and decorated our condo to reflect our casual lifestyle, and to offer warmth and coziness on a cold winter day or a cool summer evening. You will find the sound of water rushing down Ten Mile Creek to be very soothing and relaxing.
We have a fantastic Clubhouse, which includes a laundry room, a heated indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, changing rooms with showers, and rest rooms, all adjacent to a large meeting/gathering room which includes a small kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, TV, stereo, wireless internet connection, beautiful and comfortable furnishings, and an outdoor gas grill. Beverages and food are not allowed in the pool area, only in the meeting/gathering room. The entire Clubhouse was also updated in the Fall of 2007, and the warm blend of beiges and brown tones in the carpeting, slate tile, window coverings and wall colors complement the new cultured stone around the fireplace, leather, tapestry and wood furnishings, new cabinets, ambient lighting, and a bookcase for your reading and sharing pleasure. The meeting/gathering room can be reserved through our Ten Mile Island Manager. There is also a basketball hoop, tether-ball, and horseshoe pit outside the Clubhouse for parking lot entertainment.
The two coin-operated laundry areas are in the Clubhouse, and in the B Building (at the front of the complex).
There are additional condos at Ten Mile Island that are listed with VRBO if you are interested in renting multiple units for groups, families, and reunions.
We are a block off Main Street, and only a few blocks and a short walk to downtown Frisco, where you can enjoy the small town ambiance of shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and dining and drinks on the decks, as well as seasonal outdoor events. The Frisco Marina on Lake Dillon is within walking distance. We are centrally located to all ski resorts in Summit County; Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Loveland, and Arapahoe Basin are all within 10-20 minutes of our condo. The free Summit Stage provides transportation to all of the Summit County ski areas and towns, as well as the Silverthorne Factory Outlet stores, and it stops a block from our condo. Vail and Beaver Creek are about 30 minutes West of us.
There are recreational activities for all seasons and for all interests. The scenery is incredible for jogging and walking! We are on the bike path, and it is an easy ride to Dillon or Breckenridge for lunch or the Farmers Market in the Summer. Frisco is a fun place to walk anywhere - to the Log Cabin, Pik-A-Bagel or Butterhorn Bakery for breakfast, to shop, to the Back Country Brewery for microbrews, to the Post Office, the Frisco Visitor Center for Internet Access, to The Blue Spruce for fine dining or a great burger in the Blue Spruce Saloon, or even just a scenic walk around the town to revel in the beauty of the majestic Rocky Mountains! There are several great coffee shops within walking distance.

We continued our family tradition of going skiing each Spring Break, and had a wonderful time here. It is the most home-like condo we have ever stayed in. The stream is like a narcotic, and you were so kind to explain how the unique quilts in this unit were done, because we spent hours looking at them and wondering.Did you find this review helpful? Jennie, Thank you for letting us use your condo. The location is excellent; walking distance to downtown Frisco and close to Copper Mt. Your condo is beautiful! Very home-like. The big question was whether you did all the quilting yourself? The layout was perfect for our group. We had to replace one burned out light bulb (from your supply) over the sink in the master bedroom. I noticed that the vertical blinds off the deck have one separated louver. Otherwise everything worked perfectly.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you for providing a wonderful getaway! The furnishings are ultra-comfortable and aesthetically pleasing - the right mix of tasteful and 'cute'. Especially appreciated the extra amenities not found in many condos - shampoo and soap in showers, kitchen products, plush/soft towels, plentiful lighting with dimmer switches, good wood supply with kindling, extra pillows and blankets, games, etc. The attention to detail, along with the artistry of your handcrafted decor, makes the condo truly special - an inviting and pleasurable leisure space. We had an initial 'Goldilocks & 3 Bears' experience of 1 bed too hard, another too soft, and one 'just right'...but after we switched rooms, all was well. Another suggestion would be (heavier) window coverings in Master BR which gets morning East sun; new vent fans in bathrooms, fans in bedrooms, and check-out later than 10 am.Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: After skiing at Mammoth Mountain in California for several years, and at the encouragement of friends that had skied in Frisco for many years, we decided to give Frisco a try. We came to Frisco in the winter of 1988 to ski, and we loved the town of Frisco and the surrounding Summit County area. We liked it so much, that we spent vacation time in the winter and summer in Frisco for the next 5 years, staying at the Snowshoe Motel in Frisco!
Why the Owner Chose Ten Mile Island:
We purchased and remodeled a 2 bedroom condo at Ten Mile Island in 1993, and then decided in 1996 to upgrade to our current 3 bedroom condo, and did the first of 2 remodels on this condo. Ten Mile Island has a reputably strong HOA, an on-site property manager, and one block from Main Street Frisco.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our condo is very quiet, and we love that we can walk to anywhere in Frisco, including the grocery store and Post Office. It is a short drive to the ski resorts, most of which are also a nice bike ride away. Many great dining establishments, and independently owned shops. Mount Royal and Ten Mile Creek can be viewed from our patio and also from every room of our condo, except for one bedroom.
