This large chalet of 4 rooms and 44m2 habitable is rented by the week,
weeck-end or other depending on availability, it is located in a residential park leisure, closed and guarded, with a heated and covered pool, a petanque, ping-pong, your parking is at the foot of your cottage , beachside for sunbathing or swimming, but also fishing on foot with shrimps, hulls, crabs, mussels, fishing line. Activities in the country, riding, sailing school, excurtions or fishing at sea, tennis, rental bicycles. Close to all trade with a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays or Sundays, plus a fish market every morning. In your chalet you can connect to the internet via a wifi terminal. No extras to enjoy so beware

We are thankful to have beds for us and a fridge but didn’t realize that the Pool table is NOT there, the pinball machine, And the Ping Pong table was broken in a mildew filled room and the swimming pool was dirty. It was a great middle location for Everything Normandy!!

Sufficient trailer with no Internet

We went here in April...the weather was...well April! Lots of rain and ever so changing. The trailer is in a camping park with lock gate access. It's got everything you would need. The kitchen is equipped and there are heaters to heat the place as it was still pretty cold.The one thing that was not ok...no internet! The lady with the keys doesn't speak any english but she was very nice. She gave us a code for the internet which didn't work on any of our devises (computer,IPAD etc....) I was able to connect my Iphone but ! If you are one of those people that has to stay connected with work this is not the best idea of a place. My husband almost lost a trip because he couldn't access his work email and make his travel arrangements. We ask for some solution or a new code...no answer for 2 days and then no new code just...you are connected with wifi and there is only one devise that can be connected to it.... That was the bad part and it cost us extra and stole time away from the places to see.The marina has a few restaurants. Point du hoc is very close and the Rangers museum is in town. Everything else is within 20 min drive.

Nice family getaway

Our family (two adults and children aged 8 and 10) stayed here during the D-Day celebration. We had a fabulous vacation that was fun and educational. The chalet had everything we needed. It was clean and the community was quaint and quiet. It is a "family style" village, not for those who are looking for a party atmosphere. There is even a bread lady who drives through the village every morning selling baguettes and croissants. There is also a pool that the kids enjoyed. The cabin is small but very cozy. It is located just a couple of minutes drive from Omaha Beach, Pointe Du Hoc, and the American Military Cemetery. Utah Beach is about a 20 minute drive. The town of Grandcamp Maisy has restaurants, a grocery store, and a Saturday morning farmer's market at the dock where you can find vegetables, cidre, meat, and all kinds of seafood. Normandy is a wonderful place to visit!

Détente & Ballades au Rendez-vous...

Après un accueil chaleureux avec de bons tuyaus sur la région et disponibilité (pour cela nous lui disons "Merci"), nous avons passé une semaine très agréable entre les visites touristiques, piscine, la mer et avec du soleil en prime... Chalet fonctionnel, propre et confortable. Environnement calme et sécurisé, idéal pour les enfants.

vacances en familles

nous sommes allé à 5, notre fille de 9 ans, les garçons de 5 ans ma femme et moi. si vous avez des enfants en bas âge c'est nickel, piscine privée dans le camps, proche de la mer un peu à l'écart du reste du village donc très calme. Pour le village, très sympathique, on en a vite fait le tour mais si vous prennez la peine de vous déplacer un peu il y a assez bien de choses à voir aux environs ( on est au beau milieu des plages du débarquement ). chaque jour nous faisions une activité ( souvent aquatique ) avec les enfants, le matin et l'après midi oudébut de soirée une promenade avec les enfants. nous somme allé visiter Bayeux ( superbe architecture et très propres ), Cherbourg et même Le Mont saint Michel ( il est vrai un peu plus loin . pour nous impeccable car nous ne sommes pas très friand du bronzage immobile sur la plage. Si vous êtes accrocs aux musées historiques, vous serez aux anges, comme dit plus haut au beau milieu des plages du débarquement vous avez le choix entre musées ou site historiques, a voir parfois de manière plus ludique avec des petits enfants toujours intéressés par de vieux chars ou avions. nous y avons passé une semaine en juin juillet de l'année dernière, en y allant début de saison nous avions presque tout le camp pour nous seuls. nous venons de Belgique donc en partant, passage par Etretat et au retour, halte à Deauville. super pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable.
