You can’t beat this price for a beautiful home that sleeps up to 6 people, within walking distance to the beach ! This 2 bedroom guest house is attached to our own Spanish style villa with a completely separate entrance and outdoor area, therefore providing ample privacy.
We are located in the wonderful Mesa area of Santa Barbara, just a few blocks to the “Mesa Lane” beach, our local neighborhood surf spot where few tourists venture – a well-kept secret. The house features 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and an upstairs livingroom/kitchen combination with even more sleeping accommodations.
We have provided a fenced, private patio with comfortable outdoor furniture, a BBQ for outdoor cooking and a small HOT TUB for soaking after going to the beach. You don’t need to bring anything along – we provide boogie boards, bikes, beach chairs and towels (and a washer/dryer!).
I think you will find our home one of the MOST affordable vacation rentals around within walking distance to the beach, which can accommodate a large family or 2 couples easily. Compare that to hotel prices in Santa Barbara and you can’t beat it!
The house can easily accommodate 5-6 people – There is a queen size bed in the first bedroom a double futon bed/couch in the second bedroom (a very small bedroom-suitable for children), a double sized futon couch/bed in an alcove off of the living room, and a dining room table large enough to accommodate 6 people comfortably (with a small peak of the ocean from upstairs!). The kitchen has everything you need to cook in, an assortment of small appliances (microwave, electric frying pan, electric wok, blender, coffee maker, toaster, etc.) and a FULL size refrigerator/freezer. All dishes, linens, etc. are provided for your convenience.
There are two TVs/DVD/VHS players - one in the master bedroom one in the living room as well as wireless internet. We have even provided board games, books and movies for your viewing pleasure.
Our neighborhood is in a quiet area, but within walking distance to both the beach and the local Mesa Shopping Center featuring a variety of restaurants (Pizzeria, Mexican, Spanish Tapas, Chinese and Thai). Just a five minute walk away are several drug stores, grocery stores (one organic/natural/gourmet), Starbucks, ice cream and smoothie store, nail salons and hair salons.
Take bicycles down past our beautiful Shoreline Park along the ocean to the main West Beach area, Harbor and pier, with an abundance of beach oriented shops, restaurants, etc. Ride in the other direction or stroll to the Douglas Family Preserve (5 minutes away) – ocean front acreage open to the public, and then down the hill to another popular public beach – Hendry’s Beach, with a full restaurant and snack bar. Dolphin sightings are an every day occurrence at the local beaches.
We love Santa Barbara and have been here for over 20 years. Our city offers the finest restaurants, cultural events, music, rich history, and year round outdoor recreation, but remains a small community with no traffic to speak of and friendly, open people. Just 40 minutes away over the mountain is the small Danish community of Solvang and the wine tasting area of Santa Ynez where the recent Oscar-winning film “Sideways was filmed. |
