We have rented some pretty impressive apartments & villas in Florida and Europe, and this one has to be near the very top for comfort, convenience, cleanliness and views ! First, and foremost, any concerns you have about this apartment being safe should melt away - we felt 100% safe there AT ALL TIMES. The apartment (no 3) is well equipped -especially the kitchen. There's a very extensive range of kitchen ware, pots/pans, utensils etc. And refreshing to find so many kitchen consumable provided too, such as foil, bin bags, washing up liquid etc. Plenty of towels for both the beach and the bathrooms. The Wifi worked well and there are a number of UK sockets as well as some US ones, The bathroom showers & hot water were good. The fresh 100% cotton sheets are a much appreciated & thoughtful touch, given the climate ! Overall impression is that nothing is scrimped on, and the 'extra mile' certainly seems to be the overiding ethos of the apartment owners. The apartment is kept very clean by Sandra and her assistant - always helpful and never intrusive. The location is just perfect in so many ways; There's a 10 minute walk to the mini market based at the nearby Esso garage. Prices there are still reasonable, the range there is good (bread, milk, beer, ice cream etc., what more could you need ?), and they also have an ATM. Or its a short drive to the supermarkets (5 minutes to 'Jordans' in Fitts - or 12 minutes to the larger, 'Super Centre' at Warrens). Its a 5 minute walk, or swim, to Batt's Rock beach - a great little 'local's beach' where you are unlikely to get bothered by the vendors or hawkers commonly found elsewhere. However, if you want jet skis, water sports etc. then you can give the vendors a call, and they will come over to the bay for you. Right outside is a bus stop, on the main coastal route - bus fare $2B but prepare for a white knuckle ride if you catch one at night !They are packed with locals but we never felt intimidated. The jewel in the crown of this apartment is the view ! Wow - only the apartment we had over looking the Grand Harbour in Valletta (Malta) could hold a candle to this one ! So good in fact ,we could not bear to tear ourselves away each sunset to go to an expensive restaurant - much preferring to have our very own reserved 'table for 4' each evening - the likes of which you'd be paying top dollar for just up the coast ! Save your money - dining here is even more amazing and you don't need a lift home !

My wife and I recently spent a most enjoyable vacation at this wonderful oceanfront apartment. The unit is nicely finished and extremely well maintained. We cooked most of our own meals in the well-appointed kitchen and ate grilled mahi mahi from the Speightstown fish market on our balcony as we watched the sun go down and the cruise ships head out into the horizon. Great views, a choice of palm-shaded reading spots or sun-drenched roof-top patio. The swimming and snorkling at the foot of the steps to the warm sea was excellent -- sand bottom and perfect Caribbean blues. We had a car, as we wanted to explore Barbados, but it's definitely not necessary as the bus is right outside the roadside door. No one who stays at Coralita fails to be impressed by Sandra and Renata; they looked after us and kept the unit spotlessly clean. It's close to good food shopping, with some of the best restaurants in Barbados a few minutes north. We'll be back, for sure!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have been to St James a number of times as we have relatives that live on the beautiful island of Barbados. However nothing prepared us for the breath taking view we had whilst staying in apartment 3. From waking to the crushing sounds of the waves beneath us as watching the small fishing boats go by from our fantastic seated view from our eating terrace. This apartment had it all and more. A bus stop outside that will drop you off from your trips out to Oistins and Bridgetown. Sandra was amazing and kept us supplied with clean towels and even came out on a Saturday when our air conditioning got blocked. We are now hooked, and are already making arrangements for our return later this year. The beach was not visable from the stairs when we stayed, however this was not as problem as a few steps up the road took us onto the main beach where we walked everymorning for two hours almost to bridgetown and back. Past the hot bathing part on the beach where the locals flock to bath, past the intoxicating smell of the mount gay factory, past paradise beach and many more stretches of beautiful sand and sea views. Dont be stuck away in a crowded hotel, book this apartment and see the real barbados on the bus. Now just crossing off the days to our return,we miss you Barbados....

Stayed at coralita many times for one reason only....it's amazing..it's a secret little hideaway deceptive from the front, but as soon as you walk in you realise why it is a special place. It is right on the waters edge with stunning views. We are greeted every year by Sandra the house keepers beaming smile, she keeps the apartments meticulously clean, and is always keen to share her knowledge of the island... The apartment is stylishly furnished with tv and WiFi and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up your fish from the local market which is not only an experience but amazing value for money (us$4/pound)... Sat on the balcony with sundowners is always a highlight, as the sunsets directly in front of you. There is direct access into the sea and a Sun deck which is perfectly positioned under a shady palm tree, you can swim to the nearby beach or its a 2 minute walk away. It's also ideally located on the west coast, local buses take you up and down for just $2 usually picking you up and dropping you off wherever you want, always an experience!! Our favourite beach is just below Mullins beach, we take a picnic a few bank's beers...perfect! Overall we cannot fault coralita, from the excellent customer service from the owners to Sandra's wonderful house keeping...and not forgetting the views...we'll be back next year!!!

We stayed in the top floor two bedroom apartment - on entering the lounge the patio doors slide straight back making the balcony part of the living area - my immediate reaction was WOW and that doesn't come from my lips very often. The views are beautiful - from the balcony there is a second door leading into the master bedroom which has not only a balcony with the same view but also large picture window with views to die for from your bed. After a late swim we would sit on the deck area above the beach (with a drink or two) and enjoy the sunset. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, as you can see from the photos, the sea is just a few steps away. The housekeeper, Sandra, was very helpful. We will certianly be staying there again.

This was our first trip to Barbados and we couldn't be happier with our choice of place or the superb accomadation! We had done lots of research and made loads of enquiries as to where would be the best place to stay for our trip and this apartment ticked all the boxes and definately lived up to all the positive reviews posted! Straight away we were made to feel welcome by Sandra the maid. She was so good and so helpful - nothing was too much trouble and she guided us expertly to all the places we wanted to go as well as keeping the apartment pristine. The apartment is beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could wish for. The views are stunning too, absolutely breathtaking! The sea was beautiful for swimming in and we also hired a catamaran for the day which I would highly recommend too! Overall we had an amazing week and can't wait to return to Coralita and Barbados in the very near future!

Having stayed here three times in the last 6 years :-) I have to say it gets better!! Each time you become more familiar with the area and how to get around. We decided next time not to hire a car but to use the amazing Yellow (or Blue) bus service which runs up and down the East coast taking you anywhere for 2$ A new supermarket has just popped up round the corner and the New Cin Cin restaurant is a few minutes walk away and we decided our food was the best we had had on the Island. The reason I am talking about where to go etc this that there is nothing more to say about Coralita than: View: Amazing Cleanliness : Amazing Sandra ; Amazing (Such a warm greeting each day and nothing too much trouble) Bed/Comfort Amazing View from Bed : Amazing! Kitchen facilities ; Amazing (everything you need) Sea : Amazing Roof terrace : Amazing (love to eat candle lit dinners up there at night) Location: Amazing (Central to everything you need) Having just travelled Thailand and Malaysia still not able to find anything I Love as Coralita....If you are going to Barbados you just have to stay there.!! I will return :-) Fran

My friend and I had a lovely holiday, the apartments were clean and well kept. The location was great, very close to a bus stop and right on the beach! Sandra was incredibly warming and really made us feel welcomed. I would advise everyone to visit coralita.

We have stayed at this apartment on many occassions for a week or so, but this time we managed to get to stay for 29 days in April/May. The location is great for touring the West Coast and the rest of the island. We had a car for the duration and really started to feel like locals! The Apartment was excellent with all the facilities. As we were there for so long, we ate in a lot, picking up a pizza on some nights and eating either on the balcony or on the decking by the sea. However, Cin Cin and all the other great restaurants on the West Coast were nearby and we sampled many of the 4 weeks. The walks along the local beach right down to the Rum factory has to be some of the best beach in the world. With the swimming off our apartment as the most beautiful spot! The main bedroom has fantastic views and is really well decorated. We could see the sea whilst drinking our tea in bed every morning. Sandra the housekeeper is just like a friend to us now and was very welcoming. The lighting in the apartment is really subdued (it could actually do with a liitle more at times in the bedroom) but the candles around the apartment make for an exceptionally relaxing atmosphere and we were chilled out very quickly. During the day we would explore the other beaches on the island. But we always could not wait to return to our decking and private bit of beach for a nice swim, quiet snooze and cup of tea. We will back again soon!

I stayed here with my mother and daughters and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. We had use of the middle and bottom apartments which we found very comfortable, clean and within easy access of the beach and sea. It has beautiful views and is within easy reach of local restaurants, shops, bars etc. My girls particularly liked the water sports company picking them up right outside the apartments, a real treat! There is a lovely quiet beach nearby which you can either walk or swim to. We found the apartment very quiet and peaceful too. The owners were very accommodating and we would recommend it highly and certainly visit again. Hopefully soon!

I stayed here with friends during December - escaping the English Winter! In total we stayed for a total of 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed every single on of them. The views from the master bedroom and living room balcony are stunning, there really isn't a better way to start the day than having breakfast in the sun overlooking white beaches and clear sea! The apartment itself was beautifully furnished and kept immaculate by the extremely lovely housemaid Sandra. There is plenty to do along the coast whether you want to relax on the beach or grab a trip on a catamaran. A great holiday and fantastic apartment! 100% recommend.

Coarlita is everything you could wish for and more. The apartment is gorgeous, it has everything you could possibly need in it and the views are unreal. My boyfriend and I went for two weeks and had a fabulous time it couldn’t have been more perfect. You walk out the back of the apartment and you’re on the beach it’s so peaceful and the sea is crystal clear. Barbados is a must and coralita is the perfect place to stay. We rented a car and explored, the west coast where coralita is situated was defiantly our favourite part. We went horse riding which was something neither of us had done before we had such a good day and would defiantly recommend it, cool running’s was also a fun day out food was delicious and atmosphere was great. There are some gorgeous restaurants the one just down from coralita called cin cin was our favourite but even having dinner in the apartment was something we enjoyed because sitting out on the balcony was perfect with the views. We will defiantly be returning! Yasmin and nick (Liverpool).

We have visited the island numerous times as a family, but was the first time we have stayed in this accommodation, and it was by far our favourite so far. The location was unbeatable with the sea at our door step, unfortunately at the time we went there was no beach but it didn't effect our stay as the sea at the bottom of stairs was crystal blue and Batts Rock beach is a 5 minute walk around the corner. We didn't bother hiring a car during our stay as the apartment is situated on the west coast with everything in close proximity, there was also a bus stop located seconds away from the apartment and as buses travel up or down the coast it is easy enough to work out! While the decor of the apartment was great, fully equipped and to a high standard, nothing could beat the view from the balcony. My family and I would sit and watch the sun set at about half 5 every night, it felt like we were on the back of a boat, I'd go back just for the view! i can't recommend this apartment enough, and Barbados itself is a must see!

This has to be the most amazing holiday we have ever had. Everything was just perfect. The accommodation in terms of cleanliness, views, furniture, location and comfort could not have been better. Whether we were waking to the sound and the sight of the ocean, eating our food from the stunning sun terrace or the patio area where we had views that we will stay forever etched in our memory. The location was also perfect as it is situated on the West coast which allowed us to tour this stunning coast line both on foot, by "boogie bus" and by car. Being able to enter the sea from our own private gate was incredible as we were able to swim round every morning to the beach and take our early morning power walk along the most fabulous beach. Whether you are looking for exclusive restaurants to eat at or whether you wanted to sample the islands fresh fish from the vibrant local markets every requirement is catered for. We even came across the odd celebrity every now and then. We will definitely be returning to our Perfect Paradise! THANK YOU!

We have just returned from two wonderful weeks at Coralita, the apartment was everything we wanted and more - beautifully furnished, fabulous location and the view from the roof terrace is just spectacular. Sandra the house keeper was a gem and couldn't have done more to make our stay a special one. We were in Barbados for a family wedding and despite it being the "rainy season", even the weather behaved! Don't miss fish night in Oistins on a Friday night. We will be back.........!!
