Comfortable, clean, rustic cottage situated on a slope under a canopy of mature hardwood trees overlooking the south end of Lake Wallenpaupack. This property is maintained and enjoyed by the owner.
Main house built in the 1960's, second floor added in the early 1990's. Rented sparingly during the forty-seven years of one family ownership.
Interior walls are all tongue and groove knotty pine, natural fieldstone wood burning fireplace, electric baseboard heat, ceiling fans in each room, outdoor picnic area with eight foot picnic table and view of lake, adjacent campfire ring, covered porch also with enjoyable lake view. Exterior hemlock-sided with natural fieldstone foundation, professionally refinished fall 2005.
Walk about 200' from the front door to the edge of the lake and the convenient boat slip in protected, no wake water. Launch your boat for free at the convenient launch located next to the boat slip. Walk to pond or lake fishing, swimming at community beach(lifeguarded), and a restaurant.
A short drive to swimming in beautiful outdoor heated community pool with adjoining kiddie pool(lifeguarded), playground, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball nets. All community amenities are included in the rental price.
Lake Wallenpaupack is one of Pennsylvania's largest lakes, 13 miles long with 52 miles of shoreline. The lake also features four islands allowing added recreational opportunities, and a several mile no-wake zone opposite the cottage that is ideal for canoeing or kayaking. Boats are available for rent on the lake.
Two bedrooms on the first floor with a queen in one and full-sized bed in the other. Two bedrooms on the second floor with two singles and a set of bunks in one and a queen in the other. May accommodate up to ten with mixture of adults and children.
This property offers air conditioning, HDTV w/expanded HD channels, DVR, wireless internet, and free long distance for your enjoyment.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Wallenpaupack
My parents bought this cottage in the mid 60's, when I was 5 years old. I have many fond memories of our cottage and the Lake. My parents worked very hard to provide our family a vacation home to enjoy and be proud of. I always knew that continuing my relationship with the Lake as I grew older would be something I would strive for. I fulfilled my dream of staying firmly connected to the Lake, and bought the cottage from my siblings in 2010. I am grateful for the compromise by Judy, as owning a second home also comes with sacrifices. We have made alot of improvements to the cottage, and I enjoy reading about the great experiences our renters have had.

I am married to Judy, a great mother and wife. We have been married 25 years.
I am employed in the public safety sector, 29 years with the same agency. Judy works part time as a respiratory therapist for the past 28 years, with the same hospital, and FULL time being a great mother and wife.
Mark enjoys being at home with the girls, at the Lake, especially when on the family boat, and also coaching for Special Olympics.
Judy enjoys yoga, reading and being a mom.
Our daughter likes music, dancing, basketball, yoga, walking, swimming, and tubing on the Lake.

Lovely cabin, great location, friendly owner and great view of the lake! Sitting on the front porch was so relaxing! Chaise lounges on the side were another great relaxation spot, as was the fire pit for our nightly marshmallow roastings. Highly recommend it.

WOW!!! What a great mountain home! Great location, view of the lake, and close to the fishing pond (the kids caught so many sunnies I couldn't keep up w/ them). The house was clean, comfortable and the description is accurate. We enjoyed the front patio, cooking out every night, and smoores with the fire pit! The owner was great and very nice to deal with. You will be able to tell the pride the family takes in their home. We cannot wait to rent next year!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this cottage the last week of June, 2011. The cottage is clean, comfortable and ideally located. The front porch and picnic area afford nice views of the water and boats. The ramp and docks are directly across the street. We spent every day on the water in my ski boat and both of my sons learned to kneeboard. For a boating vacation this was very convenient. The owner was helpful and friendly.

Just back from a great weekend get a way with some friends. This house is very clean, has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing weekend. Very nice cozy cabin feel. Great views of the lake from all around the house. Cross Country skiing was excellent as was ice fishing! Would definitely recommend this house for a winter weekend get a way. Looking forward to returning this summer to enjoy all that Lake Wallenpaupack has to offer. Owner was very easy to deal with!

I had recently rented this house for our yearly New Years getaway. It was FANTASTIC! The house has everything you need to get through your stay and MORE. The views are beautiful, the house is spacious, comfortable, and the flat screen in the living room was a great added bonus. It truly feels like a cozy mountain cabin not just a house in the woods. We all had a great time and would definitely recommend choosing it. You will be very pleasantly surprised!

We had a wonderful week at the lake. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. Easy renting process. The house is very clean and has plenty of room. Our family loved the grill, fire ring and picnic table. We ate outside the entire week. Convenient boat slip. We also used the pool and tennis courts, which is also a plus. We had a great week in this home.

We especially enjoyed cooking on the grill and using the tv and DVD in the cozy living room. (It rained a lot while we were there.) Beds were comfortable and table in kitchen was big enough for group dinners as well as playing games. Did I mentioned it rained a lot while we were there? ;o) And though we spent a lot of time inside, we did not feel cramped and there were enough books, games, magazines and movies that we never had a chance to go stir crazy. Owner was extremely accommodating and made the entire renting process easy. Thanks so much!
