  Eight friends spent a long weekend at this home in March of 2013. The home was immaculate and is even more impressive than the pictures on VRBO. The owner(Dodie) was extremely helpful and very easy to work with in renting this property. The rooms are large and spacious with tasteful decorating. The beach is very accessible. This would be an excellent rental for large families with children.

• First time in Folly

  Last August was my husband's 40th birthday and I arranged for his family to fly in from Maine and Ireland to spend a week together in Folly Beach. We had 9 people, 6 adults and two kids. The house was the perfect size! The kitchen was fully equipped and we also used the BBQ on the porch. The wonderful thing about this house was that you really felt like you were using someone's home. I loved all of the personal photo's and paperback books and magazines. The only downside, and this was a very small thing, was that the WIFI was spotty. My husbands family is very tech savvy and everyone had a laptop or IPAD. The nice thing was that it forced us to relax and talk to each other! I would highly recommend this home to any large family.

We are not very tech savvy but at the end of summer we "bundled" our services, which involved, among other things, a new Router with better placement of it. Hopefully the "spotty" wifi service no longer exists. We were not aware this was a problem --just happened to do this but turned out to be an improvement & update of phone, internet, & cable.   Our party of twelve spent a fabulous week at this beautiful beach house. Perfect sleeping arrangements if you have small children, especially the bed in the alcove! The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and the open floor plan on the main level allows for guests to easily interact while cooking, relaxing etc. Enjoying the breeze coming off the ocean while sitting in the rocking chairs on the main front deck was real treat. Fantastic access right across the street to the clean and not too crowded beach. Folly Beach is fun without an over commercialized feel and surprisingly close to Charleston. Can’t say enough good things about the owner, house and area!

  We stayed at this beach house for a week last summer with another family. We were a party of 8---4 adults and 4 older children. The home is beautiful, both inside and out. The rooms are large, bathroom space perfect. Kitchen was well equipped. Loved the fact that it had 2 washers and dryers. The deck space was great. We loved relaxing on the front deck in the evening, there is a great ocean view and loved the sounds of the ocean. Beach access is right across the street, so it is very conveniently located. Main street was within walking distance but far enough so that there were no crowds. Great covered parking space. The outside shower was a great touch and put to use! The homeowner was a pleasure to work with from the moment we chose to house, to the sweet phone call after we arrived to make sure everything was to our liking. We are all going back the same week this coming up summer!

  Our family of 4 plus another family of 4 came down for a big VW race and show. Stayed the week in July 2010, after the show, and found the home to be fantastic. Excellent amount of covered parking and for any visitors. Rooms are large and comfortable. Decks are great. Down stairs shower was a great plus. Very comfortable for 8 and easy access to beach and little crowds due to no public parking close by. Main street is just up the way and very easy to navigate surrounding area. We will be back. Already booked for same time this year.

  We had a wonderful week in this beautiful Folly Beach home! There were many new updates (new carpets, bedspread, etc.) besides being immaculate. The location is perfect - right across from the beach, walking distance to the town of Folly Beach, and a short drive to Charleston. The owners were so kind and helpful - they obviously care about their home and their guests. Can't wait to stay there again!

  We just experienced a wonderful week at this charming Folly Beach home. It is beautifully decorated and immaculate. We enjoyed sharing family dinners at the large dining table in the open kitchen, living and dining area. Rocking on the front or side porch with our morning coffee was a real treat. Beach access was just across the street and led to a surprisingly sparsely populated and expansive beach. We watched some beautiful sunsets and moon risings from that beach! We were able to get into Charleston for dinner in about 30 minutes. On Folly, we enjoyed Sunday Brunch at Rita's and dinner at Blu located at the Holiday Inn. The owners were very helpful in answering questions, etc. when first making inquiries and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy a week of paradise on Folly and we will definitely return!
