It Is The Ocean After All

It was great! We enjoyed having our "own retreat" even if it was short lived. The hot tub was used extensively and the pool looked great even though it was too cold to use it. The house has a great view of the ocean and we enjoyed the quiet, relaxed life as if we were the owners. I would recommed that everyone stay here but then we would have a hard time getting to reserve it again. IT IS THE MAXIMUM OCEAN EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!

50th Anniversary celebration with family

We took our kids and grandkids-10 of us in all-to Sullivan's Island the first week in June to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. I had spent a lot of time on line researching the perfect place and certainly found it at The Ick. House, including the position on the beach overlooking the sandbar, could not have been better. The dolphins swimming by in the channel, long walks way out on the sand bars at low tide, swimming in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, playing many games of pool, using the very well equipped kitchen and MANY other fun things, made this a very special week. If you are going to Sullivan's Island, you couldn't find a better place than the Ick. Eating at Sticky Fingers in Mt. Pleasant was also great - ate again at the one in Charleston before flying home. Thanks Chad and Todd for the use of your home.

Thank you for letting us use this awesome pad. We had lots of fun in this house (parties). It has a wonderful view of the ocean/sandbar. The pool table got lots of use and fun times. The pool in the front was wonderful, the palm trees are cool. This house is the best vacation house for our huge family, a perfect vacation get away. Can't wait to come back to Sullivan's Island next year or in the future.

We had a great time at the Ick. Very comfortable and easy to relax! Our kids had a blast with the pool and the ocean. 4th of July was awesome...firework show on the right then the left without leaving the deck!!! Worth the trip from Madison, WI, Entontown, NJ, and Charlotte, NC. Thanks!

Top 10 List 1. Beds & sheets 2. Toilet paper 3. 2 ovens 4. View 5. Pool Table 6. Location to Charleston 7. Decks and open concept 8. Dolphins 9. Sandbar 10. Amenities and pool...oh...there's too much to mention!! Thank you for sharing your home with us. I truly enjoyed myself. It is a home I would want to own. Many happy days! Thank you so much Todd and Chad - your home is SPECTACULAR! That was our word of the vacation, "SPECTACULAR." There were 8 "50" year old women here...we all grew up together and most of us have known one another since grammer school. We grew up in a seacoast town in New England - Newburyport, MA - so...we're all "ocean gals"! Your ocean front vacation home has given us beautiful memories to carry with each one of us...tucked away in our hearts - for the rest of our lives. Thank you for that. We had a grand time. "Happy 50th Birthday to us"!!!

Everything we expected and more! Portable beach chairs and beach towels would have been nice. And the dolphins swam away taking all our worries with them.

We loved our stay at "The Ick;" the only thing I would change would be the name! The bedrooms were comfortable, and spacious. The pool was lots of fun for the kids, and the beach was easily accessed. We found so many sand dollars on the sandbar out front! The sandbar made for a very protected swimming area with little wave action - perfect for little ones who want to stay close to the beach. I would caution parents to make sure their children are accompanied across the channel as there is a quite a current at low-tide. We used our boogie boards and crossed with no trouble. We were able to do some boogie boarding off the sandbar at low-tide as well as comb the beach for sand dollars and shells. This was a great family house, and we loved Sullivan's Island!

The Ick is a great place to spend a vacation. The beach could not be more quiet or convenient, great views from all the rooms of the ocean, and extremely kid friendly. Our kids ran from the ocean to the pool to the hot tub all day long. A short drive to Charleston also makes it ideal when you want to get out of the sun for an afternoon. You couldn't ask for a better beach trip. We can't wait to come back.
