Beautiful setting and accomodations!

This is our second trip to Puerto Vallarta and second stay at this particular condo. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home in this beautiful condo overlooking the pool and beach. Situated on the 11th floor the ocean view from the balcony is breathtaking. The owners have made every effort to ensure you have all the comforts of home. From beach towels and pool toys to hair dryers to a washer/dryer and a kitchen complete with all the appliances, cookware and glasses. They even have a Margaritaville Margarita machine! The furnishings are clean, comfortable and stylish. There are two TV’s with cable, VCR, movies and a stereo. The condo comes with high speed Internet and wi-fi, too. The pool is huge and incredibly beautiful with a pool bar. Food is also available but, since Wal-Mart and Sams Club is only a hop-skip-and-jump away, you can pack your cooler, if you so desire. The condo is located at the Portofino, not far from downtown but, far enough away to enjoy peace, quiet and the serenity found in listening to ocean waves. We found it cost effective to use cab service at a cost of 80 or so pesos rather than rent a car. It’s about a 10-minute ride to downtown. The Marina is only a 5-10 minute walk where you will enjoy a variety of shops and restaurants. Staff at the Portofino is courteous and helpful. The owners have created a binder filled with recreational activities and local services. Three of my personal recommendations: For ultimate luxury call Patty, the massage therapist, for a relaxing massage on the balcony. For a delicious dinner and incredible ambiance try Victors (be sure to sit outside) and Porto Bello, at the Marina…muy buena. For a night out on the town and dancing Andales is an absolute MUST. Take a cab! I highly recommend this condo for anyone who is looking for rest, relaxation, and all the comforts of home in a beautiful tropical paradise.

Loved the condo and location

My husband and I spent a week in this condo. It was a very nice condo and the location was fabulous. The condo had all the amenities you needed including a washer and dryer. The beach, pool, sunsets, and barbeques were so nice and we loved relaxing in the spa. We also loved golfing at the nearby golf courses and shopping was not too far away. The sunsets and the margaritas at the snack bar were definitely a favorite. It was truely a relaxing week and we will definitely go back again.

Great Vacation Spot

We enjoyed the great vacation spot. Lots to do and bars to visit. We were able to relax, watch the sunsrets, and eat the at great restaurants. I was able to go out on a fishing exposition and actually caught some fish. We barbequed the fish that night. We will definitely be back next year. It is a great vacation spot to relax and unwind.

What a great place!

We just returned from a week's stay at this condo. We will go back again first opportunity because it was so beautiful. Not only is the unit well equipped with many conveniences, including a margarita maker (!), the furnishings were comfortable and well appointed. I especially enjoyed the large master bathroom and shower. You can hear the ocean from anywhere in the unit and the terrace views are breathtaking; more beautiful than the photos. It was convenient having the Marriott next to the property where we arranged different outings like jet skiing, para-sailing, etc. and we also ate there a couple times. Loved the Marina area where there were many restaurants and stores. You have to try Vincent's Restaurant and the tequila store where you get free tastings. The pool area and grounds are immaculate and it worked out great having a snack bar at the pool.

We loved the condo, the Porto Fino facilities, and Puerto Vallarta in general. The condo is very roomy and nicely appointed. The swimming pool is incredible, and I was also pleased with the on-site fitness center. We came for 8 days (with 3 children) and could not have asked for a better vacation.

We just got back from a wonderful vacation at PortoFino. We loved the condo, the view, the building--everything! Thanks for providing all the pool stuff too. (noodles, rafts, flotation boards, etc.)

WOW! This condo is truly beautiful. My husband and I just visited 8/9/06-8/16/06 with our sons, ages 10 and 11. There was plenty of room and the condo had every convenience we needed....beach towels, rafts for the pool, cooking utensils, condiments, paper products, dishwasher, garbage disposal, nice linens and firm matresses. Very HIGH quality accommodations. We were right next to the Marriott so when we didn't feel like cooking we ate there. There are phones in the condo so you could easily purchase an international calling card and make phone calls from there. There is a jacuzzi on the balcony...DVD player and CD player in the living room. they even had various board games and cards for the kids to play with. There is a nice book with brochures for excursions. Water sports (Jetskiing, banana boats, parasailing) are right next door at the Marriott. You can call the front gate and they will hail a taxi for you if you want to go anywhere. From this area it costs about $60 pesos to go downtown, about $40 pesos to the local Walmart. This place was wonderful.
