Only 2 miles to DNR boat ramp. W.Bay is part of Lake Mich, and so has cleaner water, bigger waves and sandier beaches,and no "swimmers itch" like in the small inland lakes. THE BEST WOODS Walk along our path through the woods, take a picnic lunch to the "tree house". See beautiful towering white pines, pileated woodpeckers, mink, deer. Complete Quiet and Solitude. No neighbors in sight and a warm southern exposure. BayWatch is located on the WARM side of Leelanau Peninsula, (the West side is COLD and WINDY). THE BEST ACCOMODATIONS *A clean and new cottage with real up north pine floors,large bedroom the whole upper level-sleeping area plus sitting area is huge, plus first floor den. four guests would be quite comfortable. Two more can be accomodated on roll away beds or on the futon that opens into a double bed. This smoke-free property is only three years old and is in immaculate condition.
