This Lake Tahoe vacation rental home in Tahoe Park is a wonderful year-round getaway on Tahoe’s beautiful west shore. Built in 2000, this like-new home is very light and spacious. This home is only a eight-minute walk to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Here you can enjoy the amenities of the private Tahoe Park community beach with picnic area, barbecues, swings, volleyball, horseshoe and basketball courts, two piers, and 800 feet of beach. It is a fun and safe area for families.
An eight-minute walk from the house is local landmark, Sunnyside Resort with great views of the lake - a favorite spot for lunch on the deck on a sunny day or cocktails and dinner at night. Nearby is the Firesign Cafe for breakfast or lunch and the Tahoe Park Store where you can pick up groceries or items at their deli. Biking and hiking trails abound in the area. During the winter, enjoy skiing at the many ski resorts nearby. Homewood is a 10 minute drive away, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are 15 minutes. Tahoe City is two miles away. This is a great location perfect for winter skiing or summer water sports.
ABOUT THE HOUSE: This spacious, comfortable, three story house sleeps up to 9 people. Step through the front door and head up a half flight of stairs to the sunny great room with living room, dining room, and kitchen which are on the middle level. The great room is bright and airy with two leather sofas and a gas fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen, with granite countertops, trash compactor and ice maker is a cook’s delight. Dining area has 8 authentic Hickory dining chairs. The floors are natural slate. The living room has TV, Stereo, CD and DVD player. The home has DSL internet access with WiFi.
The front deck has a hot tub, gas barbeque, table, unbrella and chairs for meals outdoors. There is a rear deck with access to the fully landscaped yard, which includes two entertainment areas and a firepit.
The master bedroom, adjoining den and master bathroom are on the same floor as the living room/dining area. The carpeted master bedroom has a king-size bed, down comforter, large closet and TV/VCR. The master bathroom has a large glass enclosed shower, double sinks, slate countertops and floor.
The den has a sofa and large window. There is a half bath with toilet and sink just across the hall.
Up the spiral staircase is a very spacious carpeted sleeping loft with three darling built-in twin beds each with a reading light. There are large windows on either end of the loft that admit plenty of light. A game table, TV and DVD/VCR make this a perfect getaway for relaxing and playing games. The cabinet is stocked with board games. The loft is sure to be the kids’ favorite spot!
On the ground floor are two more carpeted bedrooms each with a queen-size bed and down comforter. One bedroom has a charming hickory bed, closet, dresser, and TV. The other is done in chalet-style with log bed, closet, and armoire with TV.
These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower, slate countertop and floors.
The maximum number of guests is 9 people, including children.

Yes, BBL was clean and neat upon arrival. Yes, BBL was easy to find. Yes, it was furnished adequately - "very comfortable with all the essentials and then some". We have just returned from a perfect Christmas week in your West Shore home. We have been renting homes/condos in Tahoe for over 20 years and this is the "best"! Beautiful home;amply stocked with cookware (I made a delicious prime rib for the holiday!); very comfortable beds; great hot tub and perfect location. We will definitely be back. We loved your home - it was so perfect for our family. The grandkids were so content upstairs, the bedrooms downstairs were perfect for our kids (2 couples), David and I had the master (great!) and the den window was our pantry. All of the accoutrements for daily living were wonderful, right down to the hot tub towels. We would love to rent your wonderful home again. It was a great week and one we'll always remember - for many reasons! Thank you again for the opportunity to rent your beautiful home - we look forward to doing it again.

Our 20th year of coming to Tahoe was spent in your fantastic cabin. We really appreciate the comfort you have provided. After 20 years we have seen many places, and yours truly is a home. Thank you for sharing with us. We started out with our parents and siblings and now the kids have kids. There were 12 of us -- from 59 to 8 months. Your cabin provided the perfect spot for us as we love the private beach and your home is spacious, well kept. A great week!

We had a wonderful week at the house. We were very comfortable. The kitchen was very user-friendly. The beach park was just wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the water, the beach, and our two grandsons loved the new playground. We went there everyday. They also had great times at the Commons Park in Tahoe City. The little golf course in Tahoe City met everyone's approval. Some of the family rented bikes and rode along the lake on the bike trail. The weather was near-perfect, a welcome relief from our hot days here. It is a beautiful area with many great activities for families. Thank you very much for the comfortable, well-appointed house.
