This comfortable cottage is truly set in paradise. Located on the Continental divide, overlooking Lake Arenal yet only an easy hour and a half drive from Liberia airport.
Nature lovers and birdwatchers will be treated to many large colorful birds such as Toucans, Oropendolas, Motmots, and Parrots.The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve where the Resplendent Quetzal can be seen is only an hour and a half away. Palo Verde National Park where thousands of Black Bellied Whistling ducks gather is an easy day trip as well. Carara National Park for Scarlet Macaws is about two hours away and the world famous La Selva less than three.
Howler monkeys live in the trees just below the property and are often seen leaping from tree to tree. Lazy sloths are not uncommon here and can often be seen holding a baby.
In addition to nature viewing, this area offers many tourist activities and sports. Biking around the lake has become popular in recent years.

The daily activities here are endless but be sure to get back in time for the sunset. Relax on the covered veranda with your favorite drink, and watch in awe as the drama in the sky unfolds. To watch the puffy white clouds float across the lake and then turn orange and pink is something that must be witnessed in ones life.
The cottage is tastefully decorated with works of local artists. It has twin beds which can be pulled together, a large tiled shower with plenty of hot water and a small but well equipped kitchen. |
