We could only say WOW! We had a wonderful time in Maui, it was our first visit. The Condo was everything the listing stated. It had everything we needed in it. The view was awesome! Barbara was great to work with, she always responded back to our questions. We loved that most of the activities where in walking distance away. Thanks Barbara for a wonderful time in Maui.

I didn't really know where to book in Maui but Barbara's condo in Ma'alea was absolutely perfect for us! Her condo was authentic Hawaiin style which we loved - bamboo furniture, tile floors, even Hawaiin dishes! The kitchen is totally equipped with everything you need - in fact when we discovered the corkscrew broken Barbara showed up within a couple of hours with a new one - that is how awesome she is! And of course all the goodies she had in our fridge on our arrival was so special. We had a fantastic time! The most amazing part though had to be the lanai (balcony). It's ocean front and is fantastic - I could have sat there all day! The chaise lounge on the lanai became a favourite spot of mine to relax. Beach bums restaurant is right by the harbour a couple of blocks away, has happy hour, great food and live entertainment - we enjoyed that! All in all, we would go back to Barbara's condo in a heartbeat - but there again, maybe we should try one of her other condos... either way, you know you have a great hostess when you book with Barbara!

Rock to the Roll of the Surf! is a lovely condo on Maalaea Bay, very quit, with a view off the bay and centrally located. Everything we needed was there and more, a nice secure and cool parking spot in a well kept building. This was our 6th trip to the Hawaiian Islands and the second best, but the only one better was 3 times the price. Barbara is very quick in responding to any question or wishes you might have and great to do business with. Only downside we have with the Milowai complex is the pool, compared to other locations we stayed in the temperature off the pool is freezing. (but maybe that is just me) We are all ready planning our next trip to Rock to the Roll of the Surf! Mahalo Nui Loa Barbara, and until the next time. Jake

Loved staying out at Maalaea in Barbara's condos. Very quiet and private- not like staying at large resorts or busy hotels. Each condo offers oceanfront views and well equiped kitchens- as well as having other ammentities that you wouldn't find at local hotels. Imagine not having to overpack your suitcase with clothes for your staycation....having your own washer and dryer in each unit allows you pack the bare minimum...and no lugging dirty laundry back home either. Great for couples and families on a budget.

My husband, 19-month old, and I visited Maui for the first time. We initially looked into Kaanapali since there was a possibility of using a timeshare there. We decided to look around before committing. Boy were we glad we held out! We found Barbara's condo, read up on Maalaea, and decided that with the awesome price and the surrounding atmosphere it worked better for us. I loved the personal touches with the coffee and banana bread. If I didn't have gestational diabetes I'm pretty sure it would've been gone before our trip was over! The condo had a great layout and I loved that the lanai overlooked the ocean. Even being able to watch my husband from the lanai as he BBQ'd by the ocean was great! The location was wonderful too. The furthest we had to drive was 40 min. to get to the locations we wanted to visit. That is a big deal considering we had a little one that needed to be back before naptime. I also loved how quiet the building was. There were never any worries of our daughter being woken up by drunken tourists or other outside noise. Overall I thought Barbara's condo was great. The occasional ants were a bit of a bother but that just meant we had to be careful what we left out.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

We spent 8 days of our honeymoon in Barbara's condo. The condo is as described, comfortable, nicely decorated and includes many extras like the beach chairs, umbrellas, books, DVDs, binoculars, and many more. The view from the lanai is fantastic. The location of the condo is very convenient. Many different places on Maui like Kihei, Lahaina or Kahului can be reached with a short drive. So we could visit many different beaches during our stay. I would recommend the condo to anyone seeking a relaxing time. Thank you Barbara!

This was a great place for us. The view is terrific. The condo is comfortable, clean and well furnished. The central location made day trips easy. And the beach just down the road is beautiful. We could even watch whales from the deck.

We stayed in you Condo for 3 weeks in Feb./Mar. 2010. Our first reaction upon arriving and looking out toward the ocean was WOW. We loved the condo, Very central, in the village of Ma'alaea. We enjoyed breakfast while watching the whales cavort in the ocean. The condo was so well supplied. Washer and dryer were great. We also appreciated the heads up warning on "tsunami day". We spent a week in this condo unit. While the condo is not new, it was very clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there and more! We hated to leave. Can't wait to go back and stay here again. Went to sleep every night to the sound of the surf.

We stayed in Barbara's condo for 9 days in October. It was wonderful and had everything we needed. And Barbar was wonderful to work with. The Maalea Harbor area was very quiet and nice to come back to after a long adventurous day, or if you just wanted to hang out at the pool or at the condo. I loved the "goodies" when we arrived; they were very welcoming. We would definetly consider staying here again.

The condo is pretty much as described. The bed is very comfortable and there are many things that are extra like lunch box, beach towels etc. that are great to have. Barbara was great to work with, the CD player wouldn't work and the Iron was missing. She brought new ones of both the same day I called. Wouldn't have asked for the CD player but we brought some with us and bought new ones. The property is well maintained. We found some hair and dust bunnies, and when I got water on the floor and wiped it up the floor was dirty didn't seem like it was washed before we came, but because it was by the refrigerator it might just have been that area, because it looked clean. This was a minor thing. We found because of the trade winds and the sugar cane burning it is tough to keep up with dust on some days. The Trade winds blowing was great kept it cool. The view off the Lanai is worth renting the place, so enjoyed sitting out there and watching the waves. The kitchen had almost everything except they were out of coffee filters, we just bought some and left the rest, again a small thing. I imagine unless you had a very detailed check list it would be hard to keep up with when you are out of something like that. There were lot's of TP and paper towels. It took me awhile to figure out where the TP holder is because it is inside the nearest cupboard to the toilet. Just a little confusing. The activities business in the Harbor she recommended was great, Scott took great care of us. There are coupons and lot's of literature to help if you want some direction on where to go. We did the Reefdancer, Four Winds II Molokini snorkel trip, Haleakala, trip to Hana, Warren & Annabelle Magic show in Lahaina and ate at Maui Taco, Milagro's in Paia for the Banana Macadamia Pancakes & Ruth Chris Steak House (specials from 5-7 saved us a lot of money) all were absolutely great especially the Magic show, I highly recommend it! Barbara leaves a Banana Bread that's fabulous, better than the one we bought. The small beach was very nice and close to longer ones down the road. We really enjoyed our stay, Barbara was great when one of our flights meant we needed another night, she was very accommodating! The place is very central for getting to other parts of the island. Great place to rent, will very much recommend it.

We stayed in suite #206 for our two week trip to Maui and it was great. Barbara's condo is central to everything and the best part there is a cute little harbor near by. There are beaches all over the island, so it doesn't matter where you stay you will find one. The condo had all the amenities we needed and Barbara was so kind to help us find a place where we could rent a crib for our little guy. We arrive late the first night and it was nice to have banana bread and coffee waiting for us for morning. I recommend this condo, and will be telling all my friend about it. Thanks Barb!

What to say ? This is very central so that we could criss cross the island very easily. The owner (Barbara) is very friendly and helped us a lot... a really great communication before, during our stay and after. Greatly recommended. You can see the Aleakala in front of you and also the bay... so for the price it is unbeatable. This rental is like Maui : very quiet ! We really appreciated everything... thank you !

This is definitely worth a return trip. The location is fabulous. The view is perfection and I loved that it is away from the crowds, in a small village setting. The suite is great. Everything I needed was there and more. Barbara gave a lot of info that really paid off. For example, I got a good deal on a rental; a good deal on a whale watching tour with an excellent company. Barbara was great - quickly answered email, calls and her lovely welcoming gesture really was very touching. I would encourage travellers to use her place.

We enjoyed every minute of our 4 week stay at your comfy condo #206.We ate most of our meals on the deck taking in the gorgeous ocean views and sounds (great deck dining table and chairs, by the way)The sectional couch was really comfortable on the evenings that we stayed in and watched one of your dvds from the big selection you have in the condo. The great ocean view from the kitchen made cooking and clean up a pleasure (not something I'd normally say!!)The kitchen is well supplied with lots of good quality pots and pans, utensils etc We slept well in the queen size bed with the breeze from the window and/or ceilling fan and appreciated all the drawers. It's obvious Barbara that you put lots of thought into making your condos a home away from home.We hope to come back next year Mahalo Daphne and Dave Parker

My fiance and I stayed at Barbara's condo for 6 nights during October. We had a great time thanks to the wonderful condo. The condo was very clean and well-equipped. We cooked dinner (stopped by the Costco near the airport) almost every night as the kitchen is fully equipped and enjoyed the fabulous ocean view on the lanai. We took full advantage of the indoor washer and dryer, so we had clean beachwear everyday. The beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkeling gears also came in handy. Staying in this condo will definitely save you a lot of money and provide you amenities that hotels won't offer. The location is also excellent and central in a quiet neighborhood that is close to the airport, Lahaina, and Kannapali. I definitely like it better than Kihei. Lastly, Barbara was very professional and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this condo to everyone. I know I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Maui. Thank you, Barbara.

Location...Location... Location. What a great centrally located spot for travelling either east or west on the island. We felt we were in the middle of things, but at the same time in a quiet place, off the beaten path! The view of the Bay with Haleakala in the background is beautiful. And oh those sunrises!!! We felt very much at home here. Big Beach was a favorite, but the litle beach just down the street was a well kept secret. It felt like "our own!" The place is well equipped. If you're coming for two weeks, pack for only one. The washer and dryer made it so convenient! Although there are many wonderful restaurants, we found it just as rewarding cooking steaks on the grill by the water, and eating dinner on the lanai with a nice glass of wine, while watching the sunset. The condo, it's location, comforts, accommodations, and views were outstanding!!! We experienced stormy weather, but were sheltered in our condo (could still enjoy the rain from the patio!). We experienced sugar cane field burn, but were protected from smoke and ash (learned about the life cycle of sugar cane!). We dined on the patio for every meal, and enjoyed morning, noon and nightime views (they really were spectacular!). We enjoyed everything about the condo. We'd love to come and stay again, and will certainly recommed it to our friends.

Pleasantly rewarded with the sounds of the surf and the quiet, private atmosphere of this condo. Great location for touring the westside and south parts of Maui. Covered parking kept car cool. Barbara was very accomodating. The restaurant downstairs had delicious food, impeccable service and beautiful view of the water.

Very nice unit, it had everything we needed for the wonderful vacation. Location is excellent. Launi facing the bay directly. Across the bay, there is the Hale'akala peak. Wind was a plus since it was hot in Maui in May at night. Highly recommended, will definitely return if we visit Maui again.

This was our 10th return visit to Maui but our first time to stay in the Ma'alaea Bay area. It's centrally located on the Island and makes an easy drive to Kihei, Lahaina, Kahului, etc. We loved it and have already reserved our stay for 2008. Barbara worked with us to ensure our stay was as much like home away from home as possible. Everything you need is provided in the condo (including a washer & dryer). We didn't pack many extras this year but next year we know even more things we can leave at home because they're already in the condo. The view is fantastic, as well as the pool and yard area for sitting and watching the whales. We would highly recommend Barbara's condo to anyone interested in visiting Maui.

WOW, Although we live in Hawaii, we too need a vacation every once in awhile. We found everything that we could possibly need inside the condo. My favorites were the Binoculars and the Bed. I spent a good deal of time watching a huge whale right out in the harbor. The bed was so amazing that I had to buy a feather bed to make my own comprable! Aloha, Barbara -- We had a wonderful two weeks and returned to the drip and drizzle of Victoria with sinking hearts. Things we really appreciated: overall cleanliness, very comfortable bed, the binoculars (we forgot ours), the videos (and the good TV/DVD/Music set-up), misc. tourist information, the beach chairs and mats, the consumable paper goods (towels, TP, etc.) the washer/dryer combination. The beach at the end of the road became ours; I think we walked or jogged on it every day. And we loved the location--an easy drive either north or south, lots of access to snorkelling, activities etc. We'd love to return. Mahalo for everything, Paul

Thank you for the wonderful accomodations. The view from the lanai is absolutely fabulous. The condo is perfectly situated and allows you to take adavantage of the unobstructed views of north kihei and haleakala which portrayed a wonderful backdrop to the refreshing ocean scenery. an excellent place to relax. this condo is well equipped and very comfortable.

Just returned from a glorious stay in Maui! This condo is situated in a beautiful bay and the view is brathtaking. After touring almost the whole island we could not have been happier with our selection! The view from the deck is beautiful and we saw whales in the bay every day!! The owners have provided everything possible to make your stay so enjoyable. WOuld definetly refer this accommodation unit to anyone visiting Maui, you will not be dissappointed!!
