  We went to Blue Canoe for the week of our 50th wedding anniversary. We shared this event with my siblings. The house was just as Bob and the internet had described it and even better. It was a beautiful house with very tasteful furnishings and a well landscaped yard with a gazebo, goldfish pond, hammock, picnic tables all overlooking the lake. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck. Even though we didn't bring any kids, there was a lot of room and game tables and games for them to play. We caught a couple of dozen fish from the dock and we wished we had brought our boat but we could have rented one but the fishing was great from the dock. Mr. Clark had wine waiting when we got there and was very helpful in every way. All the amenities were furnished and he even offered us to use anything we needed of his as long as we replaced it. Mr. Clark recommended the Fisherman's Cove for us to eat out on our anniversary and it was great, good food, reasonably priced and good service. We visited nearby Toccoa Falls which we would highly recommend, the museum in Toccoa, Tallulah Falls State Park and Alpine Helen in Helen, GA. a very neat place to visit also there is a lot of antique shops, which we all loved. We would love to come back and bring our children/grandchildren. I would highly recommend this place for anyone at any age. Thanks, Bob for everything, you're the greatest!

  The house is great, big and comfortable. We had 8 adults and 1 teenager and loved the space. Docked my boat and used the launch around the corner. This house is the best equipped I have been in and I rent approximately 4 houses per year. The owner even welcomes you with wine, fruit and cheesecake. But the best thing is the owner takes care of his renters. We had 8 inches of rain one day and the sump pump could not keep up and the basement flooded. The owner had a cleaning crew there within 3 hours and he came and took care of every thing, he wiaved my cleaning fee and gave me an adjustment on the rent as 2 rooms could not be used for 2 days. I will definitely rent this house again. The listing photos are accurate as is the description. The only negative was my pontoon boat trailer would not fix through the garage, too high, but 2 storage places right down the road. I actually parked the trailer in the drive after a little manuvering and did not use the storage place.

  We stay in this cabin twice every year and we stay for multiple weeks at a time. We love having the peace and quiet of the lake with all the luxuries of home. The cabin includes satellite tv, internet, a full kitchen, 4 bedrooms, an air hockey table and a foosball table. The deck has a grill which is great for cooking out. The backyard includes a gazebo and a dock on the lake to keep your boat. The house is very secluded for privacy and gives you the chance to really relax and getaway from the city.

  This is a great vacation home. Our large extended family has stayed here for the past three summers (last summer for 10 days). Blue canoe is situated on a great waterfront lot that is beautifully landscaped (complete with goldfish pond and gazebo). The house is nicely decorated and well-equipped for visitors. There's plenty of space, so you can spread out and not feel cramped. The dock and swimming area are great for kids (young and old). Even when Lake Hartwell's levels were low, there was always enough water for swimming, etc. The levels returned to normal last year, and it was even better. We eat most of our meals out on the deck. It's spacious and very relaxing. We really can't say enough good things about this house. The owners have been great to deal with. We feel at home here and its been a tremendous blessing to our family, which is why we keep coming back.
