Loved the location and the view

My husband and I stayed at this lovely clean cottage for one week in August of 2011. We used the house as our base and travelled each day to another part of lower New England. We saw sooo much in just one week and yet could come back to a comfortable clean house each evening for cocktails and a view of the cove. I personally enjoyed the deck each morning for coffee and some quiet reading time. What a relaxing vacation.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I were visiting family this past year and we needed to bring our cat. The thought of staying in a motel all week was not thrilling us. I found this house rental on the vrbo.com site. It was a bargain if you ask me since any motel would be at least $100 per night. At the house, you can buy your own groceries, you have nobody above you, below you, next to you who is making noise. Within a few days you will feel like you want to just move in permanently. It is located across the street from a cute little cove. While it offers privacy you would not get in a resort area or a motel, it is within a few minutes of many stores, restaurants and more. About the only negative thing I could name is that there is no washer or dryer in the house. We rented a place in the area last year with a washer and dryer and that is an added plus. I can live with that for a week though and I would gladly stay at the same house again. Close to Newport, Bristol, freeway to drive to Cape Cod for the day. Furnishings are just what you see in the photos. Very clean. Has all the kitchen cooking items you need. Plenty of bedding and blankets. Just pack your clothes and toiletries.
