If you like turquoise water, sunshine and ocean breezes, relaxing by the pool, water sports, boating or fishing, you’ll love Bay Harbour, a gated condominium situated on Captain’s Cove with a view of the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Our 1600+ sq. ft. unit is on the top floor with 2 bedrooms, each with its own bath, plus a half-bath, living room, dining room with counter bar, an eat-in kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and a washer and dryer off the dinette. Furnishings are attractive and comfortable; most are new. The living room has two oversized sofas that double as twin beds with the removal of the back pillows.
Kitchen cupboards are stocked with everything you would need. Linens, towels, soaps, hairdryer, curlings irons, and iron are furnished. The living room, master bedroom and guest room have TVs. A DVD player, stereo and library of reading material are provided. We also offer free wi-fi in the unit and two docking stations for your iPod.
A large screened porch is accessible by double sliding doors from the master bedroom and living room. The breezes are wonderful on the top floor. Enjoy a cup of coffee while you watch the sunrise or relax with drinks in the shade of the afternoon and evening. Amenities include a pool, jetted spa, a club house open 24-7 with free wi-fi, barbeque grill, fitness room, and 2 lighted tennis courts. There is covered parking and an elevator.
Yours to use is a 50 ft. deep water dock directly below the unit, equipped with water and electricity. You have immediate bay access and quick ocean access via Channels 2 and 5 bridges, and marinas nearby with gas, diesel and bait.
You may enjoy Bay Harbour so much you won’t want to leave but there are many sights and activities nearby. Diving at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, a spectacular underwater park in Key Largo, is some of the best in the world. Close by there is wind surfing, kayaking, bicycling, pleasure boating, water and jet skiing and all kinds of fishing. Bring your own boat or equipment or rent what you need nearby. If you’re a fisherman you may know that Islamorada is listed in “One of the 50 Places to Fish Before You Die”. It's a world-class destination for bonefish, tarpon, snook and redfish. Guide services abound or take your own boat out into hundreds of square miles of ocean and Gulf waters or the backwater islands of Florida Bay. Fish offshore in the Gulf Stream for marlin, sailfish, black-fin tuna, and mahi-mahi.
Wonderful restaurants east and west of Bay Harbour specialize in fresh fish. Visit Theater of the Sea or Swim with the Dolphins or watch for manatees in our own cove. Take a day trip to Key West, the southern-most tip of the United States.

Why the Owner Chose Lower Matecumbe Key
My husband is an avid fly fisherman which explains his love affair with the Keys, especially Islamorada. I love the Keys for their beauty and the wildlife that comes with these kinds of waters. I'd like nothing more than to help rehabilitate injured birds or sea turtles. We both like the slow pace and lack of large scale development in the Keys compared to the Florida mainland. We've been driving from Ohio every winter for the last 7 years in an RV with our dogs, camping as near the water as possible. We decided to look for something more permanent since we hope to spend more time here as Scott nears retirement.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We're still new to Bay Harbour and are having a great time getting acquainted with Islamorada. We chose this unit because we catch the prevailing winds coming from the ESE. The porch is big and the rooms are spacious. We like the way the grounds are landscaped. Bay Harbour is constructed and appointed well, and it is kept up well which means a lot to us as owners/investors. The fitness room is important to my husband. We both love the jetted spa tub for a relaxing whirpool soak before bedtime, and, of course, being on the water. It is very peaceful here.

My husband, Scott, and I (Linda) live in northeast Ohio. Scott owns a small construction company. I am "retired" after working at a small college in Oberlin, Ohio. Scott and I are avid dog people. We own two Cardigan Welsh Corgis as pets and also co-own 3 show corgis. We divide our leisure time between a small parcel of land on a trout stream in northern Michigan and this property.

Wow! We spent the month of January in this beautiful condo with only one complaint time pasted to fast even on Keys time. What a great location with ocean view and sunrises. I do not know what one could ask for over what this condo has to offer. The owners Linda and Scott provided helpful information on what to do and where to go. Restaurants were great! The heated pool and spa are so relaxing. If you choose to stay here you will not be disappointed. The pictures do not lie, as it is all of this and more! Thanks again Linda for sharing your condo with us.

Hi Linda, I just wanted to let you know we had a WONDERFUL week in the Keys. Your condo is beautiful and the amenities were great for us and the kids (especially the jacuzzi)! You have thought of everything to make your guests feel welcome. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms big, and the balcony was great! I even cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner for the 5 of us and didn't want for a thing! I utilized your vacation books, brochures and WiFi all week long. We did tons of things we had never done before (Theater of the Seas, Founder's Park, Indian Key, Lignumvitae Key, Sombrero Beach, etc.), all because of the travel books you have there. Even the property manager was great! She gave each of our boys hermit crabs to take home! So sweet. Thanks again! We will return. NR

Beautiful luxury condo in a lovely area of Islamorada close to beaches, activities and wonderful restaurants. Glorious views of turquoise Sea Oats beach and deep water cove from the master bedroom and living room. Great walking and biking paths. Condo complex beautifully landscaped and maintained, pool very enticing and close to condo, excellent fitness facility, screened porch is roomy and comfortable. Everything in immaculate condition, quiet ceiling fans, comfortable and pleasing to the eye in every room. Owners very helpful and responsive, kitchen had everything you need, owners thought of everything. Would recommend highly.

This unit will meet all your expectation........it did ours. It is beautifully decorated and furnished even down to the hair dryers and beach towels, which I always forget to threw in. We really used this unit as we entertained, cooked, and did laundry. It preformed beautifully. While it is a lovely unit at the same time you feel very at home and comfortable. An outstanding attraction is the view from this unit. The "sunrise" that greets you every morning,is spectacular! We didn't spend all our time inside of course but used the pool and the marina and the workout room. This area has very safe bike paths and that is an attraction for us. We peddle the 6 1/2 mile round trip to the Hungary Tarpon once a day for their sensational breakfasts and lunches. Hoping, the ride would forgive the calories? We will rent this unit again as it was perfect for us and so was March!

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at your oh so comfortable condo. It's a beautiful place and you certainly have paid attention to the smallest detail. We slept peacefully in the comfy king bed. We had everything that we could have asked for during our stay. Islamorada, in addition to being somewhat central, turned out to be very pretty with excellent restaurants (the condo information book was very helpful). In particular we liked the Green Turtle Inn (upscale), Morada Beach Cafe (dining on the sand watching the sunset) and the Wreck Galley & Grill (inexpensive). We loved sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoying the view. The drive to Key West was worth taking (twice) for the wonderful ocean views and the sights of historic Key West. We saw beautiful sunrises from one end of the condo and sunsets from the other. We were able to pick up the WIFI signal from the Clubhouse most of the time while sitting at the kitchen table in the condo. That was convenient. We didn't use the pool area, but it certainly looked inviting. The whole complex is nicely landscaped. After the one rainy day, it got warmer (80) and a little more humid, still beautiful in the shade though with a gentle breeze blowing, so the covered parking was appreciated. It really was a perfect celebration of our 40th anniversary! We definitely came back refreshed and ready to face the rest of the winter You can be very proud of the way you have decorated and equipped your condo for guests.
