THE HOME -
Don't let the picture fool you - Applecrate Cottage is located in the heart of West Edmonton, not out in the woods! But that doesn't make it any less cozy - Applecrate Cottage will hug you as you walk in. We are proud to offer comfortable sleeping accommodations for ten persons with two full bathrooms. This unique home was built in 1935 and has been fully renovated to accentuate its character and era while providing modern comforts throughout.
The upper level features two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The south bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a twin bed, a dresser and a TV with DVD Player. The north bedroom offers a queen bed as well as twin bunk beds. You will find the bathroom bright and clean as it has been recently renovated. The third bedroom is off the kitchen on the main-floor and sleeps three comfortably on a double bed and a twin loft bed. The full bathroom on the main floor is large and newly refinished.
Applecrate Cottage's living room will invite you in to sit on the Italian leather sofa and relax while you chat, play games or read a book. Spend your down time watching a movie from our collection of videos and DVDs or just catch your favorite reality show on cable. If you need to finish some work before relaxing, a computer with high-speed internet access and Microsoft Office products is also available.
Telephones are conveniently placed in the home and will give you free access to local and toll-free dialing anywhere in Canada and the US; you may also share the telephone number with anyone who may need to contact you.
The dining area has an adorable round oak table that can expand to seat up to 8 for your family dinner -- whether it is pizza or a turkey dinner. Our eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with another large table, a fridge, glass-top stove, built-in dishwasher, microwave, toaster and other small appliances.
You will find dishes, utensils, pots and pans... almost everything you would find in your own kitchen. Some necessities -- flour, sugar, salt and various spices, for example - are available. Whether you bring milk and cereal or the fixings for a four-course meal, this kitchen is sure to meet your needs.
You will also find a washing machine and dryer on the main floor in case you spill your cereal on the only pair of pajamas you brought or maybe you just want to go home with clean clothes!
THE PROPERTY -
Edmonton's mild spring and fall may entice you to enjoy your breakfast on an attached deck, that is complete with patio furniture and a gas barbecue. The back yard is fully enclosed with a privacy fence and features a fire pit, lawn chairs, a hammock, and plenty of room for the kids to run and play.
