Located immediately above our olive groves and grape orchards, the accommodation at Podere Vallari provides a panoramic view down a valley to the sea - including even a view of the famous island of Elba (where Napoleon was exiled).
This genuinely rustic setting is a perfect get-away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, and yet, it is so centrally located that Pisa, Lucca, Elba, Cecina, Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, and even the Chianti wine region are all easily taken in one-day trips. Montalcino and the less often explored southern part of Tuscany are also easy trips.
Podere Vallari really offers the best of all possible worlds! Travel to some of the most beautiful towns in Tuscany, or just relax and take walks down country roads and visit one of the most little known gems of this region Riparbella, a wonderful small village with a lot of old world charm (and two outstanding restaurants!).
The beautifully furnished apartment has a full bath, kitchen, and dining area. The apartment provides a single large expanse which is perfect for stretching out and making oneself feel right at home. It also has air conditioning and radiators (electricity) and can thus be used throughout the year.
The present owners are a German couple, agricultural engineers, who bought the farm in 1981 and immediately started to change the farm into an organic one. Guests are invited to visit the vineyards and olive groves, to try out the wine and the olive oil and ask all questions they might have. The owners are both fluent in English. They live in a nearby house and take personal care of all the needs and interests of their guests.
