  First, the house is large and in a great location. We spent endless hours enjoying the view and listening to the surf. Its great being right at the beach. We had a few minor problems while at the house; nothing worse than I have seen from time to time at other houses I have rented and re-rented through VRBO. I was very impressed, however, at how quickly and enthusiastically the owner addressed the problems. I would rent again with confidence.

• Great Family House!

  We rented this house for ourselves and friends when we got married in town. The house is fantastic! It's HUGE. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at the house and had no problem cooking dinner for close to 30 people in the kitchen. With two living rooms and two dining rooms, there was plenty of room for everyone to sit or mingle as they wanted. The view from the living room is amazing with full wall windows! We also really enjoyed the porch around the front of the house.The mural on the ceiling is definitely a conversation piece as well. The house is one block from the beach so it was great to walk down there without having to get into the traffic on HWY 1. The owner was very easy to work with. There are a lot of stairs in the house, with the main level on the second floor, so it's not ideal for someone who has a hard time with stairs. There was also a diesel smell, mainly on the first floor.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  This beautiful house in Half Moon Bay perfectly met the needs for our family reunion. The layout worked well, giving us all enough privacy, a fun place for the kids to play and a large living room with a wonderful ocean view. Being only a block from the beach and running trails was fantastic!

  Recently, I had the opportunity to stay at the Oceanfront home and my experience can only be described as perfectly amazing. This house has everything you could want in a "beach house". You are just a "stone-throw" away from the beautiful sands of Half Moon Bay's gorgeous beaches with their rolling tides and perfect shore breaks. If you are not a beachcomber, no worries. The home's location puts you within walking distance of world-class restaurants, whale-watching, coastal trails, horseback riding on the beach, and the marina. The house provided me and my friends several scenic, breathtaking views from various location in the multi-storied house. The best part about this house is that the owner provides you with ever amenity you could possibly need. I will absolutely take advantage of this amazing property in the future. In short, this property was much more then advertised. The pictures only gives you a glimpse of the true beauty this home has. The owner is very friendly and caters to his guests. This property created memories for my family and I that we will never forget. I HIGHLY recommend this property.
