This custom built home is a great gathering place for large families and friends. It’s only an 8-minute walk to the beach and situated on a 15-acre spring fed lake with fishing, bird watching, beautiful palm trees and great privacy.
There is a large circular driveway for easy and more than ample parking plus a 2 car garage and wonderful live oaks. Beautiful azalea bushes for your Springtime enjoyment.
Large covered front porch with rocking chairs for relaxing. Entering inside, you’ll find a very bright open floor plan with column archways, separate dining room for eight, living room with soaring ceilings and fireplace looking onto the pool, spa and fresh water lake. There is an open eat-in kitchen with wrap around breakfast bar, ideal for entertaining. Additional dining for six, all opening to the morning room with large built-in entertainment area.
Off the kitchen is a huge screened porch just great for children playing in inclement weather. Plus a huge partial covered back porch for relaxing, outside grilling and eating.
The heated pool (30' X 15') is shallow at both ends, 5’ depth in the center with 2 sets of entry steps and loads of sun decking, lounge chairs, tables…you’ll get lots of sun!
6 person in ground spa with spill-over into pool adds comfort and enjoyment on those cool mornings and nights.
There is a tropical back yard with palm trees and water views.
The master suite is located on the main floor with king bed, large jacuzzi tub, separate shower and separate his and her vanities. Guest bedroom 2 – 2 twin beds, built in desk, large closet with built in dresser. Adjoining bath with tub/shower, his/her vanity. Guest bedroom 3 – one queen bed and one twin, large closet with built ins, and shares the adjoining bath with bedroom 2.
NEW BONUS ROOM - Upstairs, mid-level, you’ll find a large room with two queen beds, a sofa, 2 chairs and TV/VCR.
Continuing upstairs you will find Guest bedroom 4 – king bed, private bath, tub/shower and walk in closet. Guest bedroom 5 – a second master with king size bed, 2 chairs, walk in closet and French doors with a newly completed deluxe bath with tile shower. Guest bedroom 6 – also contains a king size bed, walk in closet, private tub/shower and large vanity.

We absolutely loved this house for our recent family vacation. The house easily accommodated our group of 14 - 8 adults and 6 children. The home is beautifully decorated, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, and the kitchen is extremely well-equipped and organized. The beach is just a short walk away and very easy to get to. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub everyday. We love that the house is tucked away in a quiet area in Palmetto Dunes. It's obvious that the owners really care about their renters and take pride in maintaining a beautiful home. Can't wait to get back.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This home is outstanding! This is our favorite home we've stayed at in Hilton Head. The benefits of this home are too numerous to count but (1) pool is huge and wonderful for kids (2) fishing available in lagoon, intercostal, ocean (don't forget saltwater fishing license - new as of 2009). (3) walk to beach is only 10 min, plus shuttle will pick you up and take you back to your home (4) all kitchen supplies well marked and everything you could need. (5) grill is perfectly maintained (6) stereo system with indoor/outdoor speakers that can be individually controlled (7) private, quiet, not much traffic and safe (8) easy access to all three Palmetto Dunes golf courses (9) easy bike ride to General Store (10) well set up home - with living space overlooking pool (11) lots of nature to view including turtles (lots and lots), cranes, fish and the occasional alligator. The negative are (1) none.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

Our family of 14 enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautifully decorated and spacious house. The kitchen was the most organized and well stocked of any summer home we have rented in the past. There were six children in our party, ages 6 to 14 who were able to ride their bikes around the area and we felt they were very safe b/c of the security in Palmetto Dunes. All enjoyed fishing, swimming in the pool, and relaxing on the beach.

Fourteen family members ranging in age from 7 yrs to 77 yrs spent a delightful week last July 2010. One family member has a picture of the beautiful pool as his screen saver on his computer. Viewing that helps to get through our long northern winters. Everything was more than expected and we bicycled, swam in the pool, spent time at the beach (a short walk) and went sightseeing in Charleston and Savannah. Although we cooked in a lot of the time, we also tried several local restaurants and were not disappointed.
