Charming shingled New England Beach cottage located steps from shore on private section of Wingaersheek Beach (Coffin's Beach), approximately half way down Wingaersheek Road.
The peninsula extends out into the Atlantic, with only a few dozen houses on a one and a half mile beach. Even on perfect summer beach days you may have a few hundred yards between blankets, if that's your choice. New outdoor shower. Acres of conservation land behind.
The beach is ideal for children, with its calm, shallow slope into the sea, where you can walk way out from the shore and be only waist deep. The low and high tide mark are one-quarter mile apart, so the firm, flat sand makes a huge area at low tide.
Nice views from the deck and the front windows, and out the rear sun room to the wilderness behind. Very quiet, but only a ten minute drive to downtown Gloucester, Rocky Point Artists Colony, and other Cape Ann attractions. |
