The Plantation House in Playa del Carmen. Is a true gem. Quietly located between the chic area of Playa's famous Fifth Avenue and famous white sandy beaches only one block from each. It's style Inspired by the grand Caribbean Island estates.
The Antigua Suite is the Plantation House's only two bedroom suite. It is in a class all it's own. With 14 foot (4.3 meters) high ceilings, more windows than walls, dressed in adjustable shutters. Rich, solid wood panel sliding doors open or close the various areas of the open concept suite. Together with the antique patterned floor, and the antique styled furniture pieces, the Plantation House will take you back to the Victorian era with style and elegance.
Apart from the master bedroom, there is a large mezzanine looking over the dining and living areas. It consists of a sitting area with an Antique styled sofa or single bed, then another area used as a second bedroom with a queen-size bed, plus a powder room and closet. The dining area holds a large rustic table able to accommodate eight dinner guests if necessary. From the dining and living areas there are two sets of eight foot tall louvered french doors that open to a private wooden deck tucked under the trees, where you can peek though the foliage on to the illuminated pool and listen to the fountain from your swinging hammock. This area is is covered and is Antigua's comfortable solution to our smoking guests as we like to keep the interior living areas smoke free.

Why the Owner Chose Plantation House
We chose this property because of its location. This quiet street runs between the beach and 5th ave. our block is lined with mature trees, it's very pretty. For the vacationer, Playa's destinations are just a block away.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The Antigua suite is the largest of the Plantation house's 6 units. It has an old world feel with it's high ceilings,white shutters, antique styled solid wood furniture and antique flooring. Yet the suite is new and full of modern amenities. Despite being in the heart of the tourist area this suite is very quiet!

My wife and I moved to Playa del Carmen in 97'. We purchased this beautiful lot in 2000. And went to work planning a vacation home complex that represented our dreams of the Mexican Caribbean coast. We live in one of our suites and are happy to offer assistance to our guests.
