It is our family cabin we have been sharing with others for years, now you too can enjoy the wonder of the Sierra - winter or summer - for GREAT RATES. We offer a two-story home in a quiet residential area of South Lake Tahoe. The home is only two and a half miles away from Heavenly Valley, State Line (and gambling), and many popular Tahoe attractions.
The home SLEEPS EIGHT: one room with two queen beds, one loft room with a double bed (kids love it), and a hide-a-bed in the living room. All beds have pillows, comforter, and blanket. Your home away from includes central heater, an electric stove, microwave oven, clothes dryer (great for skiers), fireplace, cable, color TV, VCR, DVD and telephone. Recent improves include a large new deck in the backyard, new carpet, remodeled bathrooms and more. The home is completely furnished except for towels and linens, which you provide. Everything from pots and pans to books to read, puzzles, and CD player.
How can the cabin be SO REASONABLE? The modest rent is made with the understanding that you will leave the home in absolutely clean rental condition (it should be the same way when you arrive.) Most folks would rather save their money for having fun, rather than housekeeping service.

MAKING A RESERVATION:
Check the availability calendar, we keep it right up to date, if the dates you want are available call or e-mail us. We will provide you with specific instructions to confirm your deposit and answer any questions you might have.
CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT: Noon
PAYMENT OF RENT
If you will be renting in the next 30 days... Entire rent is due (along with deposit) within one week of making reservation.
If you will be renting more than 30 days in the future... First night's rent: (along with deposit) within one week of making reservation.
Balance of rent: Due one month before you rent, e.g. balance of rent for stay beginning September 3 would be due by August 3.
Note: Failure to pay deposit or first night's rent or balance of rent on time may result in dates being given to another renter.
DEPOSIT:
100 Deposit: $100 due within one week of making reservation. Deposit is held until the cabin has been inspected for cleanliness upon leaving (next door neighbor will check after you leave), and the phone bill comes (we ask that you use a credit card or reverse any long distance calls.) Your deposit check will returned to you or destroyed - it is up to you.
CANCELLATION:
More than a month before rental dates begin: Your deposit check ($100) is returned and all rent is refunded.
Less than one month before rental dates: Your deposit check ($100) is returned. The first night's rental fee is NOT refunded, but IS applied to a future rental.
Less than two weeks before rental dates: Your deposit check ($100) is returned. The first night rental fee is forfeited (lost) and is NOT applied towards a future rental. Should the dates on which you cancelled be rented to another party this amount will be returned to you.
Holiday provisions: For all holiday rentals cancelled less than a month before rental dates begin. The first two night's rental fee is forfeited (lost) and is NOT applied towards a future rental. Any additional nights are credited towards a future rental. Should the dates on which you cancelled be rented to another party the forfeited amount will be returned to you. Note: This is done as many holiday reservations are made many month in advance, with numerous other interested parties being turned down. When a cancellation is made less than a month out from a holiday it is often impossible to find alternate renters as most parties have made other plans.
Snow conditions: Snow is common in the Sierra during the winter. In cases were all routes to the cabin are closed for a significant period of time making traveling impossible rent is refund for each day these conditions persist. Refunds are NOT given due to: the threat of snow; one route being closed when alternate routes are open; heavy traffic; or intermittent closures when roads are being plowed or traffic controlled.
PETS
As to pets, we do not allow them at the cabin. We find that those with pets are very good about cleaning-up.... the problem is people with allergies who come afterwards. We apologize for any inconvenience.
It really is true, people with pets are often better about cleaning than most people, and we understand that pets are an important part of a family and a vacation experience. However, we truly have had occasions where people have specifically inquired to make sure that dogs and cats were not allowed due to serious allergies. Again, I'm sorry it has to be this way.
I have been told that Four Paws Grooming & Kennel (979 Tallac Ave, 530 542-2377) will board animals locally.
