Nestled in the woods only a 15 minutes drive from fine dining, golfing and shopping in Harbor Springs, this lakefront property provides families with a quiet getaway. Picture windows look out on the sandy beach and lake. Whether you enjoy swimming in the lake's distinctively clear cool water, lounging on the stone patio in the shade of the Basswood tree or want to spend your time strolling along the beautiful sandy beach, you are sure to get the respite you deserve. TRILLIUM cottage, is on Lake Michigan in the sleepy town of Good Hart.
Driving south on Lamkin Drive approaching the cottage you will enjoy the birch-filled forest to your left and right. Keep an eye out for deer, wild turkey, rabbits and chipmunks. The driveway is to your right and winds through the woods up to the cottage. In the spring the forest floor is carpeted with with Trillium flowers. As you enter the cottage from the front door the smell of the old cedar beams in the vaulted ceiling of the great room may relax you. If you don't choose to recline in one of the leather sofa's next to the stone fireplace, you might wonder through the great room and into the family-size kitchen. At night you may choose to open your bedroom windows to enjoy the smells of the forest and the gentle sound of the surf.
The cottage offers a large great room with a stone fireplace and picture window, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus a large loft with small loft deck, kitchen with a large wraparound deck overlooking the beach, as well as lower patio with charcoal grill. It is just a few short steps down to the beautiful sandy beach for swimming, and beach walks.
This peaceful getaway is located a pleasant walk south of 'downtown' Good Hart on Lamkin drive. It sits a few feet from the beach, up a private staircase. There is a wonderful view of miles and miles of Lake Michigan, and incredible sunsets.

We just returned form one of our best family vacations ever and we loved this cabin in Good Hart. John was great helping us handle all of the details of our last-minute booking and we hope to return to stay here again in the future to enjoy this comfortable family-friendly cabin. My wife and I, two teen-aged boys, and our dog enjoyed the sandy beach, lake breezes, and the daily walks down the tree-lined lane to the Good Hart General Store. There's lots of great outdoor activities nearby and it's also a fantastic place just to relax, unwind, and do nothing at all. The hammock was a great bonus!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
