Just got back from the most relaxing week of my life at Ocean Spray. Between the views and weather the house is incredible. Very spacious and beautiful, would never even know that your in a house with twenty other people. Between the ocean views, sun rises, sunsets, and the design of the town and community Ocean Spray is a great place to get away. The whole community is more then friendly and helpful to anyone who asks. The owners were more then helpful and highly suggested areas around the house that we could have a great time, in that we did! Whether your looking for a relaxing weekend or a house to stay at for a week of a golfing adventure, I highly recommend and would stay at Ocean Spray again.

We had a wonderful and relaxing week at Ocean Spray. It gave our large family plenty of room to spread out, enjoy the beach, and front row seats for sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean and for sunsets over Murrells Inlet across the street. The house was clean and well maintained, and David, Eileen, and Michelle were pleasant and professional. The listing pictures accurately reflect the house's appearance and amenities. The Garden City pier/arcade/amusement park are a short 10 minute walk north on the sidewalk. I would heartily recommend Ocean Spray to a friend or relative.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Best Vacation EVER!

We rented Ocean Spray in July 2009 and I can speak for my entire party when I say that it was the best vacation ever! Sure, a big part of that was the people we were with but the WHERE certainly was a big part of it too! The accomodations were more than adequate for our party of 17! The location and amenties ensured that our group of 8 adults, 4 young adults and 5 teenagers always had just as much (or as little) to keep us occupied as we wanted. Beautiful ocean front view, short walk to town center, wonderful pool, cozy furnishings, enough seating for us to eat dinner together, but plenty of ways to tuck away for some alone time. The only thing that could have made Ocean Spray better was a hot tub -- which has since been added by the owners -- can't wait! Only moving and a family wedding kept us away in 2010. Looking forward to going back again in 2011 and many years after.

Our large 3-generation family of 12 adults and 10 children from the snowy Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Chicago thoroughly enjoyed a spring break week at Ocean Spray. The house was lovely and well-maintained, with a very adequately-stocked kitchen. Not knowing what might be available, we hauled boxes of our own kitchen utensils and tableware 1,300 miles from home, but had need for very little of it. There was plenty of cookware, dishes and flatware. The refrigerator space was ample, and we loved the huge ice maker. The kids from age 9 months to 63 years enjoyed the heated pool and the easy access to the very clean beach. Many happy hours were spent digging in the sand, hunting for seashells, flying kites and playing catch, wading in the tide pools, as well as frolicking in the surf. The trip was an educational one for the children, with observations of unusual flora and fauna not found in the Midwest--palm trees, cacti, pelicans, crabs, and we think we saw some dolphins swim by! Even watching the in and out of the tides was of interest (we live beside the Great Lakes, which appear vastly ocean-like, but there are no tides--and no salt). The owners of the house were responsive on the two occasions we had questions about the wireless Internet connection, and the pool heating. We were conscientious about leaving the house in good condition when we left, and our security deposit was returned to us in a timely manner. The Myrtle Beach area has no shortage of tourist activities, but except for a few of our group playing golf, and an outing to a Pelicans baseball game, we enjoyed the relaxation of the house, pool and beach with no need to venture further. We have definite plans to return in the future.

Owner response:We are glad you enjoyed at Ocean Spray beach house. We are adding a new outdoor hot tub and new family room furniture in 2011. We want all of our guests to enjoy the Garden City pier/arcade/ice cream shop/amusement rides, a short 10 minute walk away north.

This house was amazing. The pictures are great, but when you first get there and walk in, the amount of space that you have is incredible. We were looking for a place to get married on the beach, and this was perfect. Even with our wedding party showing up to get dressed, we still had plenty of room. We had 13 adults and 7 children in this house, and it was so large that no one got in each others way. The kids had the best time on the beach. The hot water never ran out no matter how many people showered at the same time. Every family had their own bathroom. One of the people next door came over to ask about the house, and we gave them a tour. They ended up liking Ocean Spray better than the one they rented, and it was priced about the same, and their house only had 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and no wi-fi. I showed them the website and they will probably be calling next year. I can't wait to plan another trip. This area is much better than being on the strip in Myrtle Beach. It is so peaceful and relaxing, and no where near as congested. I really do reccomend Ocean Spray. It is well worth it. The owners, The Andersons, are really great. I had a million questions and they replied quickly, and made everything so easy. If you do want a small wedding on the beach, this is the perfect place. You won't be dissapointed!!!!!

Thank you Mr and Mrs Anderson for the best summer yet we have enjoyed in SC. We rented your other house "Ocean Mist" two years ago and by chance were lucky enough to rent "Ocean Spray" this year. With the family growing, the 7 bedrooms and 7 baths made for the easiest going vacation to date. The house was well laid out and the decks, pool and beach location made it a 100% relaxing vacation. After renting from you for one week last time, we thought that two weeks would be even better this time around. We were right. Two weeks in "Ocean Spray" was such a good time and so relaxing that my kids are already asking if we are going back to "the beach house" as they call it. Thank you again for maintaining such a wonderfull home for us to enjoy and generate memories in. We look forward to renting from you again.
