Our newly renovated condo is about relaxing at the beach, and enjoying life. You can sit outside on the fully furnished deck and relax after a long day at the beach; or relax on the sofa and watch your favorite movie (great for those sun burn evenings). Or cook your world-famous hamburgers for the family; however you choose to relax, this is the place to do it.
Shipwatch Point II is one block off of the ocean. The condo is within walking distance to a general store, restaurants, and sports bars. Also within walking distance is the Apache Pier(longest fishing pier at Myrtle). A quick drive away is the Tanger Outlets, Restaurant Row, Barefoot Landing, House of Blues, Dixie Stampede, Alabama Theatre, and the Carolina Opry.

Great family beach escape

My family just returned from a week in this unit and had a fabulous vacation staying just one block off the beach at a great value. I'd never rented through VRBO before so wasn't sure what to expect. The owners were responsive and helpful...provided great tips on some local dining (we especially liked eating fish and chips on the porch at Finn McCool's) and responded promptly to our questions. The kitchen was well-equipped and the decor was very light and airy with lighthouse and nautical themes. Most important to me, it was very CLEAN! The in-unit washer/dryer, central air, and two bathrooms were very convenient features. We felt very comfortable and we also worked off some of our vacation dining walking up to the third floor. I'm not going to lie, it's a lot of steps so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a heart condition or difficulty walking, but with two teenaged boys and one not-so-fit mom it was no problem for us and worth it to not have any overhead neighbors. The amenities in the complex are terrific...nice indoor and outdoor pools, huge hottub, and great central area for cooking out...very family friendly. There were also quite a few covered parking spots available, and we managed to get one every day despite regular trips to Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach, and other close-by destinations. We all (kids included) liked the condo. Almost everything we needed was there; what wasn't was a short drive to Walmart or Kroger. The tile everywhere is a very nice upgrade to carpet (and easier to dry!). The unit's on the top/third floor which might deter some people, but our kids never complained because they could always see the ocean when they reached the top. Plus, there were no people above jumping up and down! We cooked out on the grills most of the days which kept the food cost down and was an added bonus. SPII is very close to the beach. For those who haven't been there, it's in a rather quiet spot with a pier for fishing and inlet for collecting shells within a short walk. Both pools were nice and warm and the property was well kept. It's also between MB and Atlantic Beach, so no matter where you want to go, it's between it all and not much of a drive to Barefoot landing, MB Boardwalk, or whatever. There are also 2 bars/nightclub type places nearby for the adults to get away to......
