  A group of us stayed at this property over the MLK, Jr. Day weekend. It's a beautiful home, and it accommodated my group well. The space/layout is very conducive for folks to get around and converse happily. Everything was fairly clean, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The house is well-situated near the ski slopes for easy access, not too far from town (for groceries), and not too far from Shenandoah National Park trails. The owner was easy to reach and responsive to any questions at all times during the weeks leading up to the visit and during the weekend itself, which was much appreciated. The driveway is fairly steep, as is the case for all homes in the vicinity.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  We rented 2 homes in Massanutten including this home and another right across the street. This home was great for our team retreat. The location was perfect. Very close to activities on the mountain and in a very peaceful neighborhood. The house was perfect for our group. 10 girls stayed at the house and there was plenty of space to function in the kitchen, family rooms and bedrooms. The owner was great to work with and very accommodating towards the needs of the group. He also was very responsive with emails/calls with planning our trip! Look forward to another weekend next year.

  I have rented several properties from VRBO in the past and I have never posted a negative review before. This rental deserves to receive some criticism. There was black mold/mildew in most of the toilets upon our arrival. We had to clean them before using them because the mold was also on the seats. I can definitely understand charging a cleaning fee, but when the house is filthy, the cleaning fee should be returned along with the security deposit. We also experienced other issues with the rental, including: - There weren't any soap or paper towels, as listed on the contract. - The upstairs heat wasn't working properly and it made for a cold night. The fireplaces weren't working either. - There were quite a few dead wasps and spiders on the carpets when we arrived. I mentioned these issues to one of the owners and he said that it was a housekeeping problem. The people who normally clean the house went on vacation and weren't available to "freshen up" the property. Since some of the owners live near the property, they should have checked on it before we arrived. Furthermore, there was an issue with the code for the lockbox and we were unable to reach any of the four owners for a few hours after our arrival. Again, this was blamed on the housekeepers. Our security deposit was kept more than 30 days. The amount of the security deposit was also a bit high compared to other properties that I've rented and I've never had to wait that long for a deposit to be returned. The bottom line is that I would NOT rent this property again and you shouldn't either.

  A group of 10 of us stayed at the house and it was amazing... We did not want for anything, everything was right there. The house is very spacioius, in a great location near the slopes, tons of room, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, all in all it was great. The driveway is VERY steep but if you have 4wheel drive you will be fine. I would 100% fo sure stay at this house again! The owner is very friendly, responds very quickly and we had NO problems. GREAT house !

  The house was perfect, with more than enough room for the 9 of us (7 adults, one toddler, one baby). The driveway is very steep as are most of the ones in that neighberhood - somewhat dangerous as we found out. Be sure to ask about the pool pass before you arrive. Several facilities in the resort were not available to those renting houses - only to those in condo's or the hotel. Overll, an enjoyable experience.
