Fourth of July in Santa Fe
Fourth of July in Santa Fe
My husband and I visited Santa Fe for the July 4th weekend with another couple and their dog. Mary Anne was extremely responsive and helpful with the booking process. The location could not have been any better and the price was great. The casita was clean and cozy but just the right size for the four of us (and the dog) and we loved the enclosed patio. Within a quick walk of the plaza and restaurants and in a great location for a quick drive to the store. We used to always stay at the Hilton but this is located right by it and has the advantage of the kitchen and privacy. The only critique we had is that the mattresses are a little worn so not as comfortable but not a deal-breaker either. I would definitely recommend this casita and the Casas de Guadalupe company and we will be back!

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was so nice to have you stay with us! I'm so sorry about the mattress. I have purchased a new mattress for Casita D but can't get it in until the end of August! You'll have to let me know if you like this one better next time you come and stay with us! Thanks again!
We were 2 couples. The house was all we needed and the service from the manager was really great. She even went so far as to mail back the pillow we had left. And given the price of comparably styled hotels in Santa Fe, the casa was by far the better place to stay. Plenty of privacy for both couples with in suite bathrooms, good beds, fully stocked kitchen, AC and internet. We'd go back there again.

My husband and I spent three days in Casita D exploring Santa Fe. It was a fabulous alternative to a hotel. We were within walking distance to the square, but could enjoy our morning coffee/tea in the courtyard and a glass of wine in the evening. The location couldn't be better, and Mary Ann was a fabulous host. We'll be back for sure.

Cinco De Mayo in Casita D
Cinco De Mayo in Casita D
The three of us were there for a girls weekend away. Casita D was the perfect size for us and was close enough to everything we were interested in doing. All the right amenities and the management was quick to respond to questions we had. I will definitely think of Casa de Guadalupe if I ever visit Santa Fe again!

Perfect casita for walking on the plaza
Perfect casita for walking on the plaza
Please note we stayed in Casita E. My husband and I made the trip to Santa Fe with my sister and mother in law. We spent the entire weekend walking all about the plaza and the galleries and eating at the fabulous restaurants downtown. We wanted to stay in our own unit rather than a bed and breakfast so we could have our chill time together. This Casita is perfect in every way. There are many sitting areas for visiting - the upstairs deck, the upstairs sitting room, the dining table. It is just a few blocks from the plaza which was key for us. We didn't move our car the entire weekend! It is clean, cute, and the beds and linens are super comfy. Mary Ann was a pleasure to deal with, and the price was great. Would definitely stay here again. Cannot think of a single thing I would do differently.

Very comfortable and certainly clean! Close to shopping and restaurants and if too far for elderly or in my case somewhat handicapped, the parking wasn't difficult to find in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We were so disapointed to find that the property did not reflect the photos on the web site. The nice leather couch in the pictures was instead a filthy cloth sofa of undertermined age. The general condition of the property was dirty. I took photos of the dirty kitchen sink, the grime on the top of the refrigerator, the dust coating the plumbing in the bathrooms and the lint-filled dryer. The shower curtain was moldy and covered with soap scum. At least cleanser with bleach was provided so I could clean the shower stall, complete with the previous occupant's hair-clogged drain, before we took a shower. The towels were tan and dark brown; the sheets were dark brown so could not be bleached. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Why the Owner Chose Guadalupe:
I actually lived in these casitas in 2005. Having lived in New Mexico for most of my life I found the life style in Santa Fe so different and unique. I fell in love with the city, the area and culture immediately! When I was given the opportunity to purchase these properties I jumped on it!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This property is located just off of Guadalupe which is one of the main streets that borders the Plaza. Once you cross Guadalupe, you will see lots of shops, restaurants and museums. Park is a very quiet street just off the beaten path. You can enjoy a day at the plaza, walk back to the casita and enjoy a quiet night on the patio. Or take a little walk to any of the nearby restaurants in the area. If you don’t feel like eating out, there are several grocery stores in the area. The kitchen is fully equipped making it easy to whip up a delicious meal of your very own!
