One of the longest reefs in Hawaii is offshore about 150 yards, creating gentle wave action for swimming and snorkeling, or you can relax on the beautiful sand beach. The large back yard is great for kids to play frisbee or explore. Windsurfing and deep sea fishing are available just down the road at the Anini Beach Park area. The nearby town of Hanalei has shops and a grocery store, and beautiful Hanalei Bay is great for surfing, boogey-boarding and sight-seeing. Also nearby is the town of Princeville, which has full resort facilities, including 45 holes of championship golf. Also close is the Kilauea Lighthouse, with amazing views of the ocean and sealife, and you can learn about the many varieties of birds in the wildlife preserve.
