The Little Yellow Cottage sits on the edge of beautiful Grand Traverse Bay on the Leelanau Peninsula just 30 minutes from Traverse City. Suttons Bay is formed by Stoney Point and this charming, three bedroom cottage faces the setting sun for beautiful, picture perfect sunsets. Enjoy a fire on the private sandy beach or in the living room of our cozy cottage.
Located just two and a half miles for the village of Suttons Bay, you can bike or walk to great restaurants, a turn of the century movie theatre, several antique stores, ice cream shops, or taverns. The county now has 17 wineries, most with tasting rooms for sampling award winning labels. Check out the events and tours happening in wine country this year.
Around the bay you will find nightlife at the Leelanau Sands Casino and just a short hop across the peninsula is the town of Leland. Out of Leland, you can charter a great half or full day of fishing or rent a kayak to get a great view of Cathead Bay or Pyramid Point. Leland also offers a water taxi service to the Manitou Islands.

Why the Owner Chose Suttons Bay
We have fallen in love with the Leelanau Peninsula! We have a vacation home just up the road in Omena and have spent our summers in the area since 1990. The Yellow Cottage has a larger than average beach with almost 175' of frontage and great western views of the bay. The wineries aren't bad either.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
The Yellow Cottage sits on a small peninsula called Stoney Point (25 N Stony Point Rd) which makes up the bay of Suttons Bay. A number of orchards sit all around which makes for light traffic and a quiet environment for biking, hiking and relaxing.
The Village of Suttons Bay has several eating and drinking options along with a cute little movie theater featuring first run movies. Grocery store, deli, gas and ice cream shops are all available. A

We started our Leelanau property ownership in 1990 with the purchase of a townhouse in the Suttons Bay Yacht Club condos. We have now taken up summer residence in Omena, about 4 miles north of Suttons Bay. With 20 years of summers in Leelanau, we could never leave. Come up and see for yourself why we love the area.
