We had an absolute wonderful stay in Woverton Heights. There were 14 adults and 4 children, so we only rented the lower area. We look forward to returning with more family and friends and renting the owners suite as well. One of the best things about this home is that every bedroom is a mastersuite. The kitchen was well organized and was the best equipped of any home I've ever rented. There was plenty of seating room for us all to eat together. The family room was comfortable and spacious. The views were breathtaking. The skiers in our group loved the ski in/ski out and the mud room was large enough for all the skis and snowboards. The young adults in our group enjoyed the basement game/TV room and the outdoor hot tub. The children in our group had plenty of room to play inside and out; and they loved the indoor swimming pool. Many times a heated pool is still a little chilly, but not this one. Yet, it wasn't hot like a hot tub that children should not be in. We did have to leave 3 vehicles in the parking area and move everyone up in the 4WD vehicles, but it was well worth it and we'd do it again for the opportunity to stay here. The 4WD vehicles fit in the 2 car garage. Dave answered all our concerns and even sent up a truck to clear the driveway after a huge snowfall one night. Non skiers will enjoy watching the slopes, Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley Resort and tubing at Canaan. Overall this was a PERFECT VACATION!

Be Warned in Winter Months
Be Warned in Winter Months
Adequate accommodations, but highly disappointed that the owner didn't inform my party that 4 wheel drive vehicles were necessary to access the lodge in winter months until shortly before arrival. The one vehicle that our group was able to secure wasn't even able to reach the lodge parking area, which is very small, most days because of the snow/ice and lack of salt/plowing on the road leading up the hill. Be warned in winter months that those unable/unwilling to walk down the mountain will be stranded in the lodge. This should be shared for the price you pay to rent this cabin.

Pictures do not justify the aww of this home. From the moment you walk in you feel captivated by the serenity and warmth of this home. We had our parent's 50th Anniversary in November. 6 families, 4 generations, and we never had issues with being to close or cramped. Quiet sitting areas, the game room, indoor pool and multiple kitchens were a blessing. Thanks for being a part of many wonderful memories.

Great place for retreat
Great place for retreat
We held our ladies retreat for our church group here in May. The house was wonderful, so was the scenery in the area.
