Rippling Waters - Walk to Slope
5/5

Fabulous vacation spot

The chalet was absolutely fabulous. It was beautifully maintained and the bedrooms were very spacious. The hottub surrounded by nature was so serene. The owner was super accomodating and very helpful. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the brook. We stayed in August which was off season and there were so many nearby attractions/activities. Blackwater Falls was beautiful. There was also nearby hiking, biking, horseback riding, white water rafting and many other activities that we didn't even get to. A great overall vacation destination.

Loved the Rippling Waters! Sound of the water was so relaxing! Saw deer as we floated in the jacuzzi. Clean and well maintained home. Very reasonable cost. Would love to come back to this beautiful valley and home!

interlude in canaan valley - versatile

Guest: crazymom (southwest pa)
Date of Stay: 07/19/08 Review Submitted: 07/29/08

our stay in interlude was relaxing and quiet during the "off" season, as we spent 3 nights at a ski cottage during july. we hiked up in dolly sods, drove to seneca rocks, and went swimming at canaan valley pool which is huge and very reasonable (15.00 for a 2 day family pass). We enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi and the indoor jacuzzi tub in the master suite upstairs. Our family of six had plenty of room and privacy, and the one afternoon of rain was ok because of the satellite tvs (2!!) We were overwhelmed with the spacious comfort, and beautiful rustic decorations, with all the modern conveniences. Our original plan was just two days but all the above factors contributed to an additional stay, and the owner was gracious when we called with dumb questions. We would definitely recommend this place if you have a family or are even looking for a romantic getaway. There is also a neat "ski - lodge" restaurant within walking distance and horsebackriding about 1/2 mile away - a versatile vacation area.
