Our recent stay at Copper Island was wonderful: the swimming and snorkelling was great, and the hummingbird show around the porch was amazing. The house is in great shape, and the many improvements are terrific. We enjoyed the new plantings, the paved patio, and especially the new outdoor shower. The views from both outdoor showers are just stunning. We hope to repeat our visits for many years to come. Irena & Lubosh K. Reston, VA USA

Henry & I were in heaven throughout our stay here at this beautiful location & awesome house ! When we weren't diving and snorkeling, we spent practically every minute on the porch soaking up the view. Did the hike to the top of the point. Didn't realize crabs could hike up there too :) The Beach Club is under construction, but they offered lunch & dinner at the restaurant. Weather was good, hot for this time of year. a few quick showers here & there. We loved diving the wreck! Got to dive Vanishing Rock & Dry Rocks East. Saw a gigantic lobster & very large turtle at the Roane. Needless to say, the diving here was fantastic. But be aware of the strong currents. We were turned back more than once due to their strength. It was very fun living the island life while we were here. Thanks for offering us the opportunity to stay here. We admire your resourcefulness in making your house solar powered. It was an added & appreciated benefit to our trip here to the BVI. With Great Memories - Donna and Henry.

My family and I loved staying here at Quart-A-Nancy Point. We have previously stayed at the house the hill and this was a definite step up. The big porch was awesome and the best part was the hammock. Never walk to haulovers bay ! Its a difficult hike and there isn't much there (except for trash). The snorkeling is awesome, and feeding the hermit crabs is fun. The views were amazing. A lot of great places you can go to here: Foxy Taboo's, Saba Rock, Wreck of the Rhone, Virgin Gorda (the baths), Marina Cay, and swimming with dolphins on Tortola. Thank you for letting us stay here !

The vacation was relaxing, but the best part is that we found an old pirates sword on the beach.

our family of 4 came to cooper island for the first time at first site we thought we were in Peradice. "Fred's House" is a beutiful house and great for getting a good view of the sun setting. Down at the dock is great to snorckle and dive, but don't go to far snorckling there's a big barakuda and it doesn't look friendly. The beach club is a nice place to meet up with friend's and once and a wile nice to go to for desert (they have great brownies and carrot cake). My family and me went on a snorckling trip that was easily aranged at the divers shop down at the beach club and it was amazing ! If you run out of food you can just go to the beach club dock at 2PM and theres a delivery boat that sells bread, ice cream, cake, fruit, dairy products and other goods (but just as a tip is SUPER exPensive)! one last tip about this place is that the volts don't go any higher than 12.6 at night. So save some energy by using candles at night time. I hope you enjoy this Place like we did, and have a haPPy time on cooPer island.

We had 12 glorious days at Quart-A-Nancy Point. What a fabulous spot. This was truly the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. We have sailed to Cooper Island for the last 10 years, and decided to rent a house this time. The best decision ever! The views are spectacular, the hermit crabs very entertaining, snorkeling and kayaking for exercise, and enjoying reading on the beautiful outdoor living room porch (love the hammock!). Everything about this home is ideal. We'll be back. Thank you to Fred and Candia for allowing us to rent your paradise. Jim and Shirley

"Relaxed Exercise" Really enjoyed the unbelievable view. Kind of like watching a sleeping baby or a warm home fire. One of the birds came down and yelled at us every night until we learned to fill the bird bath in the courtyard ! It didn't rain for 10 days straight and we discovered that the crabs get very lethargic from lack of water ... so we filled their water basin and they were happy campers again! We also had fun making shapes with the left over coffee grounds and pancake mix. We again didn't have rain for 10 days, so used the leftover dish & shower water for irrigating the landscaping. For exercise, we rented a kayak for our entire stay and on one calm day circumnavigated the entire island. We hiked the hill behind the house for a spectacular view. We snorkeled daily off Cistern Point and off Quart-A-Nancy Point, where we saw hundreds of squid, one octopus, one ray (over five feet across), many turtles from off the porch and underwater, flounders, and the ever present BARRACUDA ! This was the most relaxing special, beautiful vacation we have ever taken. We've sailed through here 7 times and THIS WAS THE MOST ENJOYABLE OF ALL. Thank you for sharing, Fred & Candia. ps: The crabs hate egg shells ! They love apple cores and orange peels.

Five of us came from Maine about a week ago. Flew to St Thomas then took the "Fast Ferry" to Tortola. This is our 4th visit to Cooper and as soon as we landed at Road Town it felt like coming home. Our first two stays were at the Beach Club, the next at the "Hill House", and of course this year at the Kruse House. Every year it just gets better. Highlights of the trip: Of course the totally wacky hermit crabs just off the deck. Beware: I think if you ever fell asleep there they would have you down to just bones in an hour! Two large sea turtles were living in front of the house about 100' (right about where you see the light blue). They came up for air throughout the day. Hunter (my oldest son) and I did about 7 dives. The most interesting was a night dive at Cistern Point when we came upon a huge hawksbill turtle and a day dive over at Alice in Wonderland (Ginger Island) where the coral is amazing and we saw more turtles and a black tipped reef shark. We rented a 15' boat in Tortola which is the way to go if you want to dive. The Kruse House has been a wonderful place to stay. What a perfect island house and how nicely it has been set up for guests. Sure hope we can come back and do it again !
