    • We had 12 glorious days at Quart-A-Nancy Point. What a fabulous spot. This was truly the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. We have sailed to Cooper Island for the last 10 years, and decided to rent a house this time. The best decision ever! The views are spectacular, the hermit crabs very entertaining, snorkeling and kayaking for exercise, and enjoying reading on the beautiful outdoor living room porch (love the hammock!). Everything about this home is ideal. We'll be back. Thank you to Fred and Candia for allowing us to rent your paradise. Jim and Shirley

Five of us came from Maine about a week ago. Flew to St Thomas then took the "Fast Ferry" to Tortola. This is our 4th visit to Cooper and as soon as we landed at Road Town it felt like coming home. Our first two stays were at the Beach Club, the next at the "Hill House", and of course this year at the Kruse House. Every year it just gets better. Highlights of the trip: Of course the totally wacky hermit crabs just off the deck. Beware: I think if you ever fell asleep there they would have you down to just bones in an hour! Two large sea turtles were living in front of the house about 100' (right about where you see the light blue). They came up for air throughout the day. Hunter (my oldest son) and I did about 7 dives. The most interesting was a night dive at Cistern Point when we came upon a huge hawksbill turtle and a day dive over at Alice in Wonderland (Ginger Island) where the coral is amazing and we saw more turtles and a black tipped reef shark. We rented a 15' boat in Tortola which is the way to go if you want to dive. The Kruse House has been a wonderful place to stay. What a perfect island house and how nicely it has been set up for guests. Sure hope we can come back and do it again !

Not very much to add, save a very special thank you to the Kruses for sharing this very special place with us. Although of course we are renters, it felt like we were guests at your home. We appreciated all the special touches - arty photos, very well equipped kitchen; great stove and fine working fridge - we know those can be tough to get here on the island. While the house is equipped with all the bells & whistles (fax, phone, tv, computer port, etc) we all decided (and I the mom insisted) to just use the CD player and phone as needed so we could spend each night playing card games round the table. We all hope to return here sooner than later. Thank You !

    • I could not imagine a better place for our honeymoon! The incredible views, local hospitality, the amenities, snorkeling, hermit crabs... it was perfect! I could go on and on, but if you are reading this trying to decipher guest comments and whether this house is worthy of your vacation plans, I am writing this to tell you that it is, it really, really is. Thanks Kruse's! -Mac and Kim

Leaving today. Had a great time celebrating being "50". We are a group of 6 all born the same week 50 years ago. We rented a boat and toured many of the islands. Your home is one of a kind - what a view ! Thanks for the fabulous vacation !

    • Quart-A-Nancy is Quite-A-Place!!!! The privacy and amenities provided in this lovely hillside home made for a wonderful Cooper Island vacation experience for us during our 4th visit to this unique and special island. It truly is a spectacular setting, and the owners have made some lovely renovations and upgrades to their home. We have been to many Caribbean destinations, but have to say that the view from the glorious front porch is probably the most beautiful we have ever experienced!!!! You could spend your entire vacation just sitting there savoring the sunsets and watching the sail boats and cruise ships pass by. Showering will never be the same again once you have used the fabulous new open air one! The house provides excellent grilling facilities and has a very well-equipped kitchen (I even made muffins!),as well as a generous supply of linens/towels. Having the Internet access and TV was a real plus too. As always, the warm and friendly CIBC staff was most accommodating in ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. Having stayed at the CIBC during our prior visits to the island, I would have to say the only negative with staying at Quart-A-Nancy rather than in one of the efficiencies, is accessibility. If you plan to have all your meals at the house, and don't wish to sun-bathe /swim from a sandy beach, then Quart-A-Nancy is definitely the place for you. However, if you do plan to spend much time over at the CIBC, be aware that getting back and forth can be challenging. While the hillside location affords privacy and a spectacular view, it IS quite a hike up and down, and certainly not for those who are not physically fit. Don't pack just your flip-flops; bring your sneakers!!! Also, depending on wind /weather conditions, the trip back and forth via dinghy can be tricky as well, and would recommend that you not make this your first boating experience if you are not already accustomed to the sport. Overall though, we had a wonderful stay, and thank the Kruse family for sharing their lovely home, and allowing us to experience Cooper Island from a perspective we never would have experienced otherwise. As you indicate in your description - it truly is a small piece of paradise!

The seven of us (3 children age 6 and 8yrs) and four adults had the most relaxing, dreamy, and fun 11 days! Here at Quart-A-Nancy Point we know we found the fountain of youth. Smooth skin, warm water, lots of oxygen in the creamy air. We could stay here forever. This perfectly sited house kept us all very happy and we leave reluctant but refreshed. We all vow to return and drink in more of the experience of the BVI (not just the rum & tequila drinks) very soon. Thank you so much for sharing paradise with us !
