Villa Isla Patras is situated at the Spanish Water lagoon, 15 min by car east of the capital, Willemstad. This is the area where all the "rich and famous" live and where all boat sports originate. Villa Isla Patras is situated on a small peninsula with only private access and in a gated community with security at the gate.
This is the ideal place for a family, with lots of space available for everyone, a private beach with a small coral reef outside, a private dock, gorgeous views over Spanish Waters and Tafelberg Mountain. The Villa has seafront on 3 sides and there are comfortable covered porches for each time of the day or night.
The villa has one large living-dining-kitchen area with cathedral ceiling and sliding glass doors. This area is always cool and comfortable with a nice breeze by the trade winds. The air-conditioned Master bedroom with its own bathroom (tub and shower), has a wonderful view over the Spanish Waters and the Tafelberg through floor to ceiling windows. Three more air-conditioned bedrooms have a view over the garden and beach. These three bedrooms share one bathroom (shower). The sleeping section is separated from the living area, so you can retire without being disturbed by those who continue to party. Our villa sleeps 7 in four bedrooms. One additional pull out bed can be arranged for a child/teenager.
Since this is our private home, the villa is fully equipped with an extensively equipped kitchen where the ceiling fan is replaced by the cooling trade winds and the relaxing sound from the palm trees. There is also a washer so you can return home in style after a week in paradise.
Villa Isla Patras was some years ago pictured in the Dutch gossip magazines as the vacation home of Crown Prince Willem Alexander, and to date the tour boats that occasionally cruise by, are clearly telling the story, since all camera flashes go off at the same time. Our Villa has been visited by Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, so I guess all this justifies calling our home royal? The total under roof area is also a royal 700 square meters (8000 sq feet).
Spanish Waters is a great place for water skiing and wind surfing.
Our property is one of very select group of ocean front properties where you are able to have a private beach and a dock for large yachts. Most ocean front properties are either a cliff, a beach, or a dock on an inland bay such as Spanish Waters where our home is located. Villa Isla Patras has both for your use.
Our caretakers will welcome you at the airport and escort you to Villa Isla Patras. They are available at your request for any questions or problems arising. The property is shared by one caretaker living in a separate small building at the end of the garden.
There will be a starter package in the refrigerator for your first day meals.
The best way to see the rest of Curacao is to have your own rented car.
