PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Let's begin with a verbal walk through. Entering on the ground level there is the laundry room and garage. Going up the first flight of stairs opens into the living room with a 18 foot ceiling and fireplace. On the this floor will be the master bedroom, kitchen and dining. Another half flight up is a half bath. Two bedrooms and full bath are on the top floor.

We had the honor of being featured in the May, 2007 issue of Money Magazine. It is another reminder that 'cream floats to the top'. We are, indeed, 'the cream of the crop'! I'll be happy to email you a copy of that article upon request. We're not very humble when it comes to talking about something as important as your beach vacation.

Before we begin to tell you about ourselves there is one important requirement. You must be interested in staying at least two weeks. Much as we hate to send you on your way to look else where that is a requirement by the Home Owners Association. Your first thought might be ‘why such a requirement?’ We thought the same thing at first, but now with a few years of ownership under our belt; we understand and have come to really appreciate the fact. This is Mayberry at the beach. The Cleavers live right down the block. If you don’t see at least one deer during your stay, we will give you your money back. This is a community in the fullest sense of the word. A full 50% have their permanent residency here. Another 25% are second homes. You are going to be a rare bird here as a renter. But don’t think for a moment you will be ostracized. Arms will be thrown wide open. Your kids will be riding bikes with the neighbor kids, fishing in the many ponds and, of course, playing on the beach and swimming in the community pool.

We have a very definite claim to fame. If you are a regular visitor to the Island, you will know our location at Emerald Isle well - the exclusive "Lands End", a gated-community with swimming pool, lighted tennis courts, club house, guard on duty, huge lots, immaculate landscaping, rolling hills, gently winding street, countless ponds running over with fish, lots of beach access, and as private a beach as one can have on a public beach. This subdivision is hands down the FINEST on the island. It is as close to heaven as you will get in this life. We tell people you are in such ‘tall cotton’ that you can’t see the ocean! (Joking aside, we do have a pretty fair view of the ocean.)

We are all very much aware of the financially challenging times in which we live. I use to think that no matter how bad times got people will still take their vacation. That is just not true this time around. Inquiries are down. The only thing I know to do is to make sure I have the lowest rental rates while still offering an excellent beach cottage. I have checked and rechecked my competition to make sure I have the lowest price. Now I need your help. It will not do any good to say ‘my budget is such and such, will you give me a 10 per cent discount or $100 off’. If you want a lower price, you must do your homework. Email me the lower price you find and the web link. I need to make sure we are comparing apples to apples. Expect to be rewarded for your efforts with a lower rate than the one you found. Comparable rental listings in Lands End are scarce because as I mentioned earlier home owners don’t rent and prefer to use their homes for vacationing or as full time residences. Let me suggest you start the process by doing a Google search for Emerald Isle Realty. Once on their web page go to properties listed at Lands End. Do another Google to Bluewater GMAC. Try there as well. I haven’t had much success. Maybe HomeAway or VRBO as a dot com. Let me know what you find.

I'm often asked how far we are from the beach and or the pool. See for yourself. Do a Mapquest using the following address: 106 Seabreeze Ct, Emerald Isle, NC. Click on the Aerial Image. You will see the pool to the lower left on the map. See the beach? Note the scale indicating the distances. Look at all the ponds and green areas. Too bad the rolling hills don’t show up better. They add such character to the area.

Here are a few ways we save you money. You pay less "hotel" tax than through the big companies, and we charge less for our cleaning/linen/bed making services. Dealing directly with a homeowner cuts out a middle man and generally we take more of personal interest in your satisfaction since we have only three homes in Emerald Isle to look after.

Like most owners/property managers we dish out our share of BS. You can certainly understand that we want to put our best foot forward. Want to really know the truth? Ask to see the names and phone numbers of all those who have rented this past year. YOU pick one or two at random, call and have a little conversation. Your vacation is not something you should take lightly at least in the planning stages. Don’t leave stones unturned. We have lots of references who will attest to how fantastic our newly renovated home proved to be.

Access to the development is easy (turn immediately after going across the Emerald Isle bridge) so long check-in delays are not a problem.
