The pictures do not do this house justice! It is the perfect location, right in town, and just about 1.5 blocks from one of the ski slopes/in-town lifts. If you want to be able to access everything without the hassle of driving, this is it. We rented a car, and pretty much left it in the driveway, except for grocery store runs. The downstairs sleeps 4 (in rather tight quarters), but there is an en-suite bathroom. The very upstairs master bedroom doesn't have a door, but is still very private. The main floor bedroom is great, and the whole house is very well appointed. Lots of firewood to burn in the fireplace, and the jacuzzi is perfect and always at the ready. The kitchen has just about everything you need -we cooked gourmet meals for 10 each night with no problems at all. Organizing a group of friends and family over New Year's here was a cinch, and we are already talking about doing it again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This was a wonderful place to spend the week around the 4th of July. The price was amazing for the size of house and location, and we were able to bring our 2 small dogs to play in the mountains too! Walking to main street, hike up the mountain out the front door. Description is highly accurate. "Old Town" definitely applies, as main floor tub is clawfoot and kitchen oven is at least 50 years old, in that "quaint" kind of way. Overall a wonderful stay and a lovely experience.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
