Great location for the Hummer Bird festival

We (2 friends and I) spent 4 days, 3 nights in the Rockport / Fulton area, during the Hummer / Bird Festival. We had a great time! We learned a lot about hummingbirds and enjoyed meeting a lot of very friendly people (both residents and visitors). Dinner at Charlotte Plummers (try the Amberjack with Pico de Crab), Alice Fayes, Beignets at Cheryl's Sunday morning. We went to the beach (rated as a Blue Wave Beach -- very clean) and also the salt pool across the driveway from the beach. The advantage of the salt pool was no seaweed, if you are a little squeamish about walking through seaweed. We loved the house. As a previous reviewer stated, there are less expensive places to stay, but having the convenience of a fully stocked house was wonderful. (full kitchen, complete with dishes, glasses, silver wear, kitchen towels, etc) There were also items that I assume previous folks had left (scissors, tape, sewing kit), so we thank them. The photos and description were very accurate. The neighborhood was quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

What a charming little house! The quiet neighborhood is close to fun in Rockport and Fulton -- the clean beach, small shops downtown, the art museum. The uncluttered house had everything we needed and was very clean. The price is just right - yes, there are new hotels with lower rates or condos with water views, BUT we enjoyed having a kitchen and the extra space at a reasonable cost. The owners really tried to provide things in the house to make the stay easier. While in town, we ate delish shrimp tacos on the breezy covered patio at Moondog's, enjoyed the newest exhibit at the Rockport Center for the Arts, stopped in the Sea Shell Shoppe (it's a classic!), and spent the long evening hours watching the sun go down and the moon come up at the lovely beach. In the summer, don't let your kids miss the Rockport Aquatic Center, which is their super, public, well-cared for pools (one pool for diving/swimming, the second is a sprinkler/slide pool for youngsters.) The pretty house was the perfect home base for our family! Thanks to the owners for all their attention to comfort, and to the cleaning service for keeping the house spotless.

While our stay was only 2 nights and 3 days, This place is just as described and more. The neighborhood is very quiet and the people around are as nice as the neighbors back home. We were very pleased with the accommodations, and the roominess of this place. We will be booking this one again, and again. Book it, you will be glad you did. The management company was pleasant to deal with as well. Very professional and polite. We will be back for sure.

Clean, quiet place close to Little Bay

My wife and I stayed here for a month. It's not fancy, but very clean, decorated nicely and perfect for the two of us, especially for the price. Everything worked; the fenced back yard was handy and the neighborhood was quiet. Little Bay is about 3 blocks away, as are the HEB store, Walgreen's, a couple of restaurants and fast food joints. Close to downtown and easy access to Texas 35, which leads to Aransas Pass, Corpus Christi, Padre Island, etc. The screened in front porch makes a good place for cold beverages after a day on the water. The weather was unusually cold the first week of our stay, so the fishing and kayaking were "iffy", but all in all, a good place to spend a month or more on the Texas Gulf Coast in the wintertime.
