This was our 4th stay at Windsor Hills and our 2nd stay in this particular home. If we we able to, we would stay at this property exclusively. It is very well-maintained, spacious and in an excellent location. The owners are also great to deal with and have everything on hand that you could possibly need from extra towels, dishesand utensils to toys for the kids, etc. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Christmas week in Florida

I have been to Florida and Disney on several occassions before but had only stayed in hotels and motels---- So, when my family decided to spend Christmas week and the New Year in Orlando I started looking for places to stay. The group would be three families 8 people in all and we wanted as much time together as possible. I happened onto Windson Hill's site and left a message. Diane Schmidt contacted me back and through her I rented this house in Florida. What a find. The house was clean and had four bedrooms. More than enough space for us all. It also had a play room that my nephews loved. Diane was more than helpful answering my questions and even sent us a map and info on Orlando. We were very pleased with our decision to rent this house and would again rent it in the future. Thank you Diane and William

Our group included three kids and four adults. The house was a great size and layout for our purposes. Everyone had their privacy. Four bathrooms made getting ready each morning so easy. The house was exactly as pictured and very clean and well-maintained. Location was easy access to Disney, Universal and the freeway to the airport, etc. The owners were so helpful in providing information on our points of interest and giving excellent directions. We could not have asked for better hosts. We would definately use the house again and recommend it to friends.

Owner response:The location of this home is excellent. In the resort, it is close to the Clubhouse and pool complex. To reach the theme parks, the renter has easy access to the main roads to everything, plus all the restaurants and shopping close by. We are so glad that these renters from Oregon wish to return to our home.

We had a great time at this property. Everything was very nice and clean. The kids had just as much fun in the game room and pool as they did at the park.

Owner response:We have set up the home with families in mind, knowing that children like to keep busy. The game room is a kids haven with lounge furniture, pool table, air hockey & X-Box games. Plus the Recreational Park just behind the home with Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis & Golf Putting Green offers more activities to enjoy. But best of all is the home pool that the families enjoy the most.

Fantastic House

The house was exactly as described although I think that the photos don't do it justice - it was bigger and lovelier than we thought. We've holidayed a few times in Orlando and this was by far the best villa and area that we have stayed in. Diane your house was perfect!! The clubhouse was only a short stroll away where we could use the facilities if we had wanted to. The area was quiet and peaceful. It was also very close to Disney - only 5mins drive away. The 192 was only 2 mins away where there were plenty of shops and restaurants - great for the driver. Diane was so helpful and approachable and didn't mind how often you contacted her. Thank you. I would recommend this house to anyone wishing a great time in Orlando.

Owner response:Yes, the location of the home in the resort is excellent. That is why we as owners bought the home. And the proximity of the Windsor Hills Resort to Disney World, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores is a real convenience. I truly do enjoy working and communicating with our renters. Fabulous Condo in Great Location

6 of us (grandparents, adult couple and two grandchildren ages 9 & 5) just had a wonderful time at this condo. Everyone had their own comfortable bedroom and bath. The condo is well stocked with all the basics. For food shopping I recommend Super Traget about 3 miles away on Rte 192. Prices there were much less than elsewhere. My grandkids enjoyed the large main pool as well as the private pool at the condo itself. Driving time to Disney was easy. Being able to have the convenience and savings of staying in a condo rather than a hotel room was well worth it. Diane was a pleaseure to work with. She was responsive to any questions and the information was easy to understand and thorough. I would absolutely, without hesitation, recommend this condo to my friends and relatives and anyone else thinking of going to the Orlando area.

Owner response:For Clarification: this property is not a condo; rather it is a full free-standing home/villa all on one level. The location of this villa is indeed desirable for your stay: first being inside a 5-star resort so close to Disney and easy short drive to grocery stores, and many choices of restaurants. It is so accessible to all that Orlando has to offer for a family vacation. Plus the home is situated close to the Clubhouse & resort pool, and also the park behind the home adds extra amenities to the guest with Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball & Gold Putting Green and Picnic Area & Shelter.

Best home in Windsor Hills

We had the best time in this wonderful home, its exactly as described. Its a short walk to the clubhouse which is great as this is a huge complex and on past stays we have had to drive everywhere. The basketball, golf, tennis courts etc can be seen from the pool which the kids loved, they knew they were free and then just ran right over! The owner was very accomodating about letting us come early and leave late and they made a point of calling to check on us. I loved the little touches like bars of soap, paper towels and laundry detergent, one less thing I had to worry about buying. I would recommend it to all my friends and family.

This home was everything it was advertised to be: spacious, clean, close to attractions, safe, and above all, accomodating enough for all four of my children (2 adults with spouses and 2 under age 12) to enjoy. Each bedroom with its own private bathroom was especially great. The private pool was so special we never even used the resort pool! This home made our family vacation one to remember. Diane and Bill answered every question we had and were the most gracious of hosts-even from a thousand miles away. We felt welcomed and "at home" in their home. I would highly recommend this home to anyone with a large family or a group of friends to gather at. The Schmidts aim to please and really seem to enjoy sharing their home with others.

The saying "my house is your house" applies in this case, because we enjoy hearing when renters are happy with their choice and we are so glad when they feel at home. Our stay at this home during the week of the 4th of July was truly amazing!!! Upon arrival, we found the house exactly as described. Its location was very close to the Disney Parks which made it nice when returning late after the fireworks. The resort was awesome; gates security with guards gave an overall sense of security. The kids loved the pool at the home as well as the resort pool and slide. The game room was also heavily used when we were not at the parks. Overall, we were completely satisified with this home!!! We have no problem recommending this house to another family. In fact, we are planning on a future trip back to the area and will do our best to secure this home again. Diane went out of her way to ensure that when we arrived, everything would go smoothly. Communication with Diane was excellent. All questions were answered immediately by email or phone. Awsome house!!!

Fantastic Home

We just got back from our lovely week in the Schmidt rental house. I can't say enough about how much fun we all had. My husband and I took our three boys ages 14, 12 & 6. My little one would have been happy to just stay at the house in the pool everyday. The older boys enjoyed the pool and the gameroom. Everything you could need to make your stay perfect is available at the house. The house couldn't be any closer to Disney unless you want to stay in the park. The longest ride we had was to Universal which was only 15-20 minutes away. The 2nd night of our stay a hotel at the top of Old Lake Wilson Road caught fire and burned to the ground. The following morning the traffic was blocked in that direction on 192 but thanks to the Schmidts we had back way directions to get to Magic Kingdom which was the park we were visiting on Monday. The Publix down the street was easy to get to and about 4 miles from the house. My kids did not want to leave and we will definitely rent from Diane and William again if we plan another trip to the Orlando area. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us. Owner response:We know our renters will always enjoy the home pool. The pool patio faces an open area to the back of the home rather than back-to-back to other homes. This gives more privacy than most homes in the resort. Also, the location of the Windsor Hills Resort truly is very close to Disney, and easily accessible to other theme parks by hoping on nearby I-4. Ask us about the back way into Disney from Schmidt Rental & Windsor Hills Resort. We always enjoy having our renters return for another stay. We hope this family comes again with their boys.

Perfect Disney Home!

We had a great time in this home with my family and my brother's family. We were pleasantly surprised how big and how beautiful it was when we arrived. My twin daughters loved Disney room and all the toys - they played with them for hours every day after coming home from the parks and every night before going to sleep they were singing "We love this room". Everything in the home was spotless; it had everything you could need and even more. We have stayed in Orlando in vacation homes 3 times before and never had that many extra supplies (soap, washing detergent, strollers etc.) - everything was there. Even Disney park guides were available at home! The pool had sun all day, and was deep enough to dive in. Diane is very professional and very friendly in all her interactions, and made the whole rental process very easy for us. We already decided to book our 2012 stay - my twin daughters insisted we had to stay in "this Disney Home" next year. Thank you Diane and Bill for this perfect vacation!

We just returned for our Disney trip and it was fantastic. The home was wonderful. Very clean and the pictures and description very accurate. The owner, Diane and her husband were very helpful.. She answered all questions we had either by e-mail or phone. We were concerned prior to going that Disney World would be farther away than we thought but seriously it was a perfect drive. 10 Minutes maximum. We definitely recommend this property.

Owner response:It was nice to have these guests from our home state Michigan. It is true as they say that the resort is very accessible to Disney World and also other theme parks. Our vacation rental villa is just 2 miles from Disney, and close to I-4 which takes you easily to any destination in Orlando.

Excellent location, spotless, great amentities. I have stayed in a number of Kissimmee rentals and this is by far the nicest one. The owners run their rental in an extremely professional manner while maintaining warm and personal communication. It is clear that they take great pride in their home and it shows in every detail. My children would have been happy staying at the house all day swimming and playing in the game room. They have really thought of everything!. When you add in the resort pool with sliding board, this decision is a no brainer. Rent this house, you won't regret it! I will rent again when I return to Florida.

Annual Family Vacation

From the intial contact the owners of this property was perfection. Every detail was spelled out with little to question. Every detail was addressed. The one or two questions were answered in a professional manner, and in more than a timely manner. The listing was exactly what was quoted, the owner provided excellent customer service. My family was all joining together in Florida, flying in from different parts. The property was clean & well maintained as well as all details, down to necessities adequately provided. ( Well thought out - felt like one was in their own home). Ages of the family ranged from mid 60's to 5 years and all were impressed if not excited with what was provided. The gated community was also well maintained, quiet, friendly and the area was within minutes of Disney & resturants. The community pool was enjoyed by the three little "ones". The property is very, very family orientated. Having leased other vacation homes in the past this has been the best yet. Diane & Bill are to be proud. I have already recommended this property to my two sisters.

This is the perfect vacation home for families traveling with young children but still nice enough to please the adults! The home is stocked with everything you need for the little ones from bedding to feeding to toys - they have got it covered. Everything was clean and in perfect working order. The pool out back is a great place to relax and the game room is full of fun for the entire family. Most of all we loved how close it was to Disney and other Orlando attractions. We highly reccomend this property for your vacation!

My family and I have rented this fantastic home 2 years in a row now, and will most likely rent it again next year. We go to Disney ever August and just find it amazing to come home to your own pool, hot tub, game room. Beautiful Home

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Schmidt house. The house was clean and well kept, i especially appreciated having beach towels provided, one less thing to pack! It was close to everything, not just Disney, but Universal Studios, Seaworld and the beach. There were six of us that stayed in the home and there was plenty of room for all of us. My kids loved swimming in the pool and playing pool in the games room in the garage. Diane was wonderful to deal with and want to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you Diane and Bill, we will definitely be back next year!

This visit was just as wonderful as our other two stays at this rental. I highly recommend this property. The property is close to all ammenities and Disney is just around the corner. The owners are WONDERFUL, very accommodating and have thought of every convenience. The photos do not do it justice! The location within Windsor Hills resort is also great, there is plenty of privacy in the rear of the house in your very own pool. The resort pool and club house are also conveniently located near the property. If you are not happy here, there is no pleasing you! Thanks for another fabulous vacation!

O-H-I-O family vacation - Anniversay celebration

The home was not only beautifully decorated and clean, but very accomodating for any family. Our family consisted of 6 adults and 3 small children.The small children dearly loved the Disney bedroom with games & videos, the game room, and of course the pool. The only thing we had to purchase was our groceries. The kitchen was fully furnished and each bedroom had its own bathroom. I have recommended this to many of our friends. The location was ideal and close to all the theme parks. We felt very safe and had alot of privacy as well. The owners were so very thoughtful , and really went the extra mile to be sure everything was absolutely perfect.

We stayed at this home in the fall in 2007 for the first time and did a return visit this May. It was once again a wonderful visit - plus it had some upgrades. Not only was the home lovely - working directly with the owners (vs. a rental company) really made for a non-stress event and Diane made every extra effort to make sure the home fit our specific needs. I highly recommend this house as it is VERY close to the main pool and clubhouse and its pool does not look onto another house - lots of privacy.

We just stayed for a week and your place was WONDERFUL. Your home is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. The pool and spa wer used daily. The home is equiped with every amenity down to candles for a birthday cake. We lacked for nothing. The location is also extremely convenient. The owners were so easy to contact and communcate with before, during, and after our stay. I HIGHLY recommend this property and its owners!

This was our second stay at Windsor Hills, which is a wonderful resort, and we were absolutely delighted with this house. This time, our family of 5 was traveling with another family of 5 and decided sharing a house would be the way to go. It was wonderful and there was plenty of room for all of us without feeling cramped at all. The house was very clean and just as described. The private pool and hot tub were great and maintained very well. We would highly recommend this to anyone. We would love to make a return trip ourselves in the near future.

For this trip we decided to stay in a home and not on disney. This was the best decision. The kids absolutely loved the pool, they often wanted to leave the parks and go back to the pool. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed.We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this home to my friends. Thanks so much in allowing us to use your home!!!

Staying at this vacation home was a great experience. The home is very well furnished, comfortable, with great amenities. Extremely close to Disney World. The Schmidts were excellent with communication and hospitality. The kitchen had all the cookware we needed to eat at home and save hundreds of dollars in meal costs.

We had a wonderful time at Diane and Bill's home. Diane and Bill were readily available if we needed anything. We had a wonderful time staying at Bill & Diane's home for our Walt Disney vacation. The home is beautiful and the pool was a great escape from the record breaking temperatures. It was awesome. Everything about the house and the owners was exceptional. WE would recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay near Walt Disney World and we hope to stay there again. This was our second stay a the Schmidt's home and it again exceeded our expectations! The Schmidts are wonderful to work with and the home is very well maintained. The new leather furniture was very comfortable! This time we had more time to enjoy the home away from the parks. The kids actually asked a couple times to leave Universal and go 'home' and swim. We all loved it! We will be back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation stay at this totally awesome 4BR, 4BA house with a swimming pool and jacuzzi tub right in our backyard. It's so easy coming home to this house after a full day at the parks. It has everything we could possibly need including a large kitchen, game room, and TVs in every bedroom. You also have access to the gigantic common pool which is just a short walk from the house and bonus, it has a fun water slide for the kids! We stayed here with another couple and we all had plenty of room to spread our wings. It's the perfect property for your next Orlando vacation, you'll NEVER want to leave!!

We had such a great time staying at this property. The owners were excellent with their communication and the property was in great condition. We loved having the full size pool right in our own back yard and swam every morning before heading out to the Disney parks. The home was fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils and linens that we needed. The kids really enjoyed the game room and the Disney themed bedroom as well. The TV in the main living room was huge and easy to operate. I can't imagine staying in a hotel again now that we know about this home. Thanks!!!

I arrived with my daughter & son (in-law) and 3 grandchildren, ages 2, 6 and 9 years. The first part of vacation we were busy visiting all of the close by Parks & attractions, which was very easy to find. The last days of vacation my older children had business meetings to attend and were away working long hours. I had the opportunity to care for & enjoy my 3 Grandkids...and did I ever! The layout of this home is perfect . I was able to help with the children and still had our own space. This home was very clean & well maintained. There was exciting toys and games for every age! The boys got up every morning to play in the game room, with XBOX 360, pool table, suffel board, bicycles, and all forms of pool toys. The home for me as a Grammy was so comfortable & easy to keep picked up. The kitchen was organized like my own home with all needed and even more! we were only a 3 minute walk from the resort area and a very safe walk with tons of security. We even had a home movie night with pizza delivered from FLIPPERS...which by the way was under $15.00 for 4 ! I will recommend this home to my family & friends. I even had a call from the owner to make sure all was going well and that we had all we needed ! What a wonderful way to enjoy Orlando and Disneyworld. Maybe I will get to go back!

This is beautiful property very close to Disney. Gated community with great pool/clubhouse. House is perfect with private pool, spa, 4 bedrooms, and everything you need to be very, very comfortable. We plan to stay again and again.

Everything was perfect, clean, as pictured and advertised. The close proximity to DisneyWorld and the other parks made for a very relaxing first visit; we didn't have to spend extra time on the highway after full days in the parks. Instead, we were home and in the backyard pool in minutes! On a few down days there was plenty to enjoy at the resort: movies in their theater, the pool area and game room. Plus, there's an extensive collection of games, DVDs and books in the home, and the Disney decor will delight the little ones. Diane was a quick call away and efficiently answered our few questions. Thank you! Only problem: I want to return.

We stayed in your wonderful home for 10 days, after my husband returned from Iraq after a 15 month deployment. We would have stayed longer but didn't have time in our schedule! It was wonderful. The house was very clean, well stocked with anything we might need to cook with. Very nice assortment of games and toys for the kids, the game room was quite a hit!The house even had a nice slection of books and movies. The pool and hot tub were wonderful on the days we didn't go to the parks. SO If you can take some days off to just ENJOY the house. We loved that every room had its own TV and bath. Diane was even gracious enough to allow a friend to join us..even though the friend canceled the thought was really nice. The club house pool was really fun great for little ones as no area is all that deep. Have already talked the house up to friends and will plan another trip in a year or so. Thanks Diane and Bill

I can't say enough about this vaction home and its owners ! Diane was very helpful and understanding from begining to end. From me needing to change my dates to calling once we arrived to make sure we found the house ok. She supplied us with a map of the property and the house is located very close to the clubhouse which was great. The house is beautifully decorated and we felt like we were on vacation as soon as we walked thru the door. Having 4 bathrooms was a plus and the pool was great for those lazy hot days when you don't want to go to the disney parks. The house was equiped with everything and anything you need and you're only 5 minutes away from stores, shop, and restaurants. Staying at a resort property , we never had a dull moment ! My daughter turned 13 during our vacation and Diane helped make her birthday a very special one she will never forget. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice relaxing vacation at a beautiful home thats located close to the parks. We enjoyed the house and can't wait to stay again soon...very soon !!!!! Thanks again Diane.

Lovely Vacation Home

Thank you Diane for all your help in planning our first trip to Disney! The home was beautifully decorated, clean, and well supplied with linens, and starer supplies. The grocery stores and restaurants are a right up the main road. Disney is a short 5 minute drive and the pools are terrific! It was so nice to come home from a day at Disney to the peace and quiet of the home and swim the rest of the day away. The resort pool was a big hit for the kids. We wish we could have stayed longer than a week! The kids are already asking when we can return to your vacation home in Florida. I have already recommended your home to several friends with children who are planning on vacationing in the Disney area.

Our visit to Windsor Hills

When my daughter suggested renting a property in the Orlando area and invited us along, we were extremely pleased. However, being an old(ish) cynic I asked her to confirm that the property details were accurate, ie we were getting what we paid for! No worries on that score as the owners provided us with photographs and information on every single detail of the property, and couldn't have been more helpful and courteous, for which we offer our sincere thanks. On arrival, we quickly settled in while the two children explored the games room and the pool. We found the property to be clean, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. On our first day we decided that a visit to Animal Kingdom would be first on the list, and were very pleased to find details of a short cut to the attractions which avoided the worst of the traffic. This proved invaluable during the course of our two week stay. The location of the home is excellent, being on a managed complex within easy reach of supermarkets and other outlets. The children enjoyed the home so much that we did not really make use of the on-site facilities. They were happy and so were we. All in all a most enjoyable holiday. We will defintely be recommending the home to our friends, and would very much like to return ourselves at some future point. Visit and enjoy - we did!!

Great stay. Everything was perfect. The house is fantastic! Extremely clean and decorated very nicely. My 3 and 5 year old girls were thrilled! Plently of toys, games, TVs and pools to keep them occupied and plenty of space for the adults too! Windor Hills Gated Community is a beautiful resort and less than a 5 min drive to Disney. Diane and Bill are great owners and quick to accomodate. We left our camera charger behind and it was quickly mailed back to us! Thanks for a memorable stay!

Home was absolutely as advertised. Great proximity to all area attractions. Nice pool/spa area. Our grandkids had as much fun in the pool as at Disney. If we do this again will definitely go back to this home. Only a short walk to the clubhouse and pool area. Owners were great to deal with. Couldn't have asked for more.
