Beautiful Land Between The Lakes vacation rental is located on Jocassee Lake Road, one-and-one-half miles from Lake Jocassee and 2.79 miles from Lake Keowee in South Carolina, off Highway 11. (Approximately 18 miles from Seneca and 22 miles from Clemson University.)
This beautiful home is situated on five-plus private wooded acres with wonderfully landscaped grounds. The 2500-square-foot home comfortably sleeps up to 16 people and includes a private suite downstairs. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. This central air-conditioned/heated home is perfect for any type of weather. A covered garage is available for your vehicle and trailer.
Bring your boat or rent one locally and explore the natural beauty this area has to offer. Fishing guides are available. (public boat ramps within two miles)
Our sunny home is surrounded by woods and completely private. Enjoy the sun from the chaise lounges on the deck or enjoy the shade from the hammock nestled between two trees.
At the beginning or end of your day, hop in the eight-person hot tub and enjoy your view of the surrounding forest. Your ears will be treated to a multitude of bird sounds.
If you like to exercise indoors, use our gym quality treadmill with heart rate monitor. Below the deck is a regulation-size Ping-Pong table. A basketball goal is located behind the garage.
If you have animals, you will appreciate the escape-proof, 30-foot by 30-foot dog lot complete with two sections, dog house, and automatic watering stations. This allows you to adventure during the day knowing your pets are cool and have plenty of water. (Pets allowed only with owner approval.) A long circular driveway and garage provide abundant parking for vehicles and accessories.
You enter the house through the side door into the utility room equipped with a washer and dryer for your convenience.
You walk into the oversized kitchen stocked with all the appliances you need. (Electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, breadmaker, blender, etc.) Kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dinnerware are provided.
The great room is a large open room with a dining room at one end and two couches, love seat and chair at the other. One of the couches has a pull-out bed.
You can enjoy DVDs/CD, VCR, complimentary DirectTV and DSL internet connection along with unlimited long distance calling. In addition, you can use the telescope to view the beautiful evening stars and distant planets.
Off the left side of the great room is the master bedroom with a queen-size bed and DirectTV. There is plenty of closet space and a private bathroom with an oversized tiled shower and full-flowing hot water. All three bathrooms are completely tiled.
On the other side of the great room is another bathroom with a bathtub/shower and access outside to the hot tub. On either side of the bathroom is a bedroom. The bedroom on the left has two sets of bunk beds, each having a full-size and twin bed. There are plenty of games in the room plus a TV where the kids can hook up their video games or watch DirectTV.
The other bedroom has a queen-size bed and computer, equipped with a desk, printer, fax machine, and high-speed internet access.
From the great room you exit to the large outside deck surrounding the house. The deck on the back is luxurious. It is covered with two overhead fans. Underneath the fans is an outdoor dining room table with cushioned chairs that rock. In addition, there are two wooden rocking chairs and a porch swing.
On the next level down is the large, hot tub with built-in deck seating and two chaise lounges. The lowest deck has more seating. On the side porch there is a simple table and chairs that sits right under a dogwood tree and feels like you are in a tree house. In addition, there is a small porch off the front of the house.
Stairs outside lead to the private downstairs suite, which consists of two bedrooms with queen-size beds and Queen Victorian chairs. In between them is a complete bathroom with walk-in shower. Each bedroom has its own private entrance.
Lake Jocassee has 7500 acres of deep water and 75 miles of shoreline. It is a popular recreation area surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. It is known for its pristine beauty,waterfalls and hiking.
Lake Keowee has 300 miles of shoreline and 18,500 acres of water which makes both Jocassee and Keowee popular places for boating, fishing, waterskiing, swimming, camping, picnicking, and scuba diving. The lakes are located in Oconee and Pickens counties.
Jocassee's beaches, boulders, trails, Wild and Scenic rivers, bald eagles, and endangered wildflowers can also be seen on kayaks. Rentals and tour guides are available. Interested in Scuba Diving? Weekend courses and diving are also available at Lake Jocassee.
