This is a beach house for those that love the surf, sand and tide pools, and aren't concerned with the quirks of an older home. Now a vacation rental, this beloved family retreat home has been enjoyed by generations since the 1940s.
The home has a modest street side, with only street parking, which is tight. However, it unfolds toward the sights and sounds of the wonderful open coast - one explores the layers of living space as the home walks its way from bluff top down to the sea. The coast highway disappears and the open shore beckons and soothes the soul.
The home is decorated in a fun, artsy, Italian theme, that compliments the rugged coastal views which are so much like the steep coasts of Italy. Even the flower garden is done in levels, cascading to the beach. Typical of the beach homes of its era, the rooms are small in scale, and levels are connected by stairs.
You will love dining on the large open deck or in the glassed in dining room. Children love the hidden under-the-staircase bathroom off the living room, and the many other places to explore.
Located in south Laguna, this home is walking distance from several excellent ethnic restaurants.
