Welcome to Flip Flops by the Sea. We are located on a short canal on the Imperial River with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, Flip Flops by the Sea is the perfect place to bring your boat and enjoy the waterways of Southwest Florida or you can use the provided kayaks or paddle boards provided for your enjoyment.

Imagine waking up in beautiful Southwest Florida with a view of the Imperial River. You prepare breakfast and go out to the screened in porch to enjoy the ocean breeze and wildlife that frequent the waterways of the Imperial River and Estero Bay. As as you drink you coffee, you can use the included wifi to decide on which golf course will start your day.

After your morning golf outing, you have to decide how you will get to the beach for your afternoon relaxation. Since the beach is about a mile away, you can walk or bike or even paddle. But then again there is parking by the hour or day available too. As the sun sets over Gulf, you start thinking about dinner. Will you try one of the many local restaurants for some fresh seafood or would you prefer to use your full kitchen to create your own meal?

When you get home you can enjoy cable and Internet in any room as you relax and prepare for whatever adventure may take place the next day whether it is kayaking the Imperial River, deep sea fishing, exploring the everglades or shopping your way from Naples to Matlacha. The best part is that like all the decisions you will make on this vacation, there is no wrong choice because you chose to vacation in Southwest Florida with Flip Flops by the Sea.

Flip Flops

This house had so many great features! I think kayaking on the river was my favorite but also biking to the beach and relaxing on the large deck. Would definitely stay there again!

Amenities galore

Beautiful home with all the amenities you could possibly ask for a beach vacation! Literally just bring your clothes and stop by one of the grocery stores for food. Enjoyed being right on the canal and the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. If you are not taking a lot of stuff to the beach take one of the bikes and ride to the beach, much easier then finding parking!

Amazing house near the ocean

We loved staying at this location. The house was beautiful. Loved the huge deck and that it was on a canal. Saw lots of wildlife. House has pretty much everything you need during a stay. Only thing missing from this house was a pool. Super short drive to the ocean. I would definitely come back again.

Above our expectations!

Flip flop rental was much nicer than the pictures ! The location was very close to the beach! There were two wonderful places to eat we could walk to. Our adult children were thrilled with the kayaks ! We all enjoyed this ! The porch is huge! Part of it is screen if you chose to use this . The Family room is large enough to have guests. We had local friends over and it was never crowded. Rick was great and always was able to answer our questions . Thanks for sharing your home with us ! We will be back ! To the beach

The house that has it all

We were so thrilled when we saw the Flip Flop house. The back deck was what we called our "happy place". Loved the ease of the boat launch to kayak. Thank you Rick for being a great host with all the amenities we could want.

We have been sharing our Southwest FL home to travelers since 2014. Several years ago we moved from a condo to our 3 bedroom/2 bath house. We fell in love with the beautiful Southwest Florida waterways and specifically the Imperial River and Estero Bay.

This is waterfront property on a short canal off the Imperial River with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. Boat dock with flow through platform lift make it easy to launch the available kayaks, paddleboards, or use the platform for your own boat. Baywater Boat Rental is within easy walking distance from Flip Flops.
